The staff and the environment is great. A lot of locals hang out there which is really nice. They have upgraded the bar area which is really attractive and comfortable. The menu is extensive, but the food could be better. Minor changes to dishes could make them better. It would make sense to have another chef/professional come in and give... More

The Mad River Tavern has been a reliable stand by in an area where the choices are few. You can rely on a warm atmosphere and decent food. Portions are generous

What more can I say? Loved the tavern environment, the drinks were great, food was excellent, and service was fast. Would definitely go back again when in the area.

We liked the atmosphere of the pub....good variety of beers on tap and nice variety of food on the menu. TV's to watch football games. Food was good. Close to Gilcrest where we were lodging.
