Excellent fried calamari

I did not go in expecting much but the food here was very good. We started with the fried Calamari which was some of the best Calamari that I have ever had. We ordered a slightly larger salad that came with our seafood newburg which was just an OK salad. I prefer the darker greens to the iceberg... read more

My friend and I ate here on Monday night. We both ordered the fish and chips and substituted a baked potato for the fries. The fish was fresh the food was hot, and the bread is definitely worth the calories. Would return here to eat in a heartbeat and try their pie for sure!

Good eats and a nice beer selection. Friendly staff and a warm feel to the decor. All in all a nice place to grab a drink and an appetizer after hitting the slopes.

Awesome cozy feeling as soon as you enter the coffee house. Every time we stay at Waterville Valley we HAVE to get coffee (and a snack) here! I am a Dunkin Donut junkie but this rivals DD! And there's a DD across the street! Love the homemade baked cookies, muffins and bread... Definitely a great little place! And they have live... More

The atmosphere here was quaint and romantic as we sat in a corner table with plenty of privacy. Dinner was exceptional. Great flavor, Delmonico steak that you could cut with a fork. Portions were way beyond average as well as the side dishes. Wait staff was excellent. Definitely return here.

I am a local and tend to frequent "MRT" several times a month. We usually end up in the pub side of the restaurant as the locals tend to spend their time there on a regular basis, so it is a great place to meet up with friends and family. The owner is great and always has a smile on... More

They are very accomdating. We were a party of 7 & they quickly put 2 tables together & had no problem giving us separate bills. The food was very good & dessert was delicious!

We have been going to the Mad River Tavern for several years now. The food has always been good. The staff is great and professional, and the atmosphere is enjoyable and laid-back. But on Friday evening Jan. 9th we had a bad experience. This was no fault of Mad River Tavern or it's staff. However, a party of 6 or... More

My family has been eating a the MRT since it opened, this past Friday night was one of the worse visits. 3 of 7 meals went back, and it was just horrible that these meals even left the kitchen along with no manager visits, we even had to convince the server to remove from the bill. the two worst was... We have always had consistently good meals here - not extraordinary but very good. Love the atmosphere and bar setting. Friday nights are fun as they have music. Price are very reasonable and we have always received great service. Woth a visit for sure!
