Friendly restaurant with excellent service, and fabulous food. Convenient location if you are staying in Waterville Valley Estates or surrounding area. Loved it!

We have eaten here several times, always reliable and consistent. The restaurant was pretty dead for a Friday late lunch-we were the only diners and no one was at the bar. We missed the daily specials board partly due to the lighting but never mentioned by the wait person who was also bartender and apparently liquor buyer-- lots of conversation... More

My son and I ate at the Mad River Tavern at the beginning of our ski weekend. We ate in the bar side and each had burgers. The burgers were very good and prepared to order. We also had nachos for an appetizer and they were satisfying. The food at the Mad River Tavern is satisfying and dependable but not... More

This place used to be so good back in the 90's, and slowly it got worse and worse to the point that I can't go back. It sucks and it's sad bc this quaint town needs more and good restaurants for locals and seasonal tourists!

We went to the Mad River Tavern for lunch on Labor Day Weekend during leaf-peeking season. We expected it to be busy. It was not. The parking lot had about six cars. As we were getting out of our car, an elderly couple in the vehicle next to ours called to us. The woman said that they were confused. They... More

We have been going to The Mad River Tavern for at least 20 years. You always knew the food would be good and the service professional and friendly. I don't like saying it but our last visit was our last visit! It started out in the parking lot where we saw many young workers smoking and joking around. The on... More

Came here for a late lunch after the Welch-Dickey hike. We were all starving and the menu and food was perfect for our group of 6. Burgers rocked!

A local restaurant that was a nice find. We saw this restaurant reviewed well on the web so we stopped because we were in the area and we were glad we did. Nice atmosphere and very good food. Deserves the good reviews. Our server, Emily, was outstanding. She was very personable and efficient. The bar area was hppin' and seemed... More

The first time we went it was really fantastic. We actually had to search it out to go again we just couldn't forget how great it was. The prices are fair food was above average. The best onion rings south of Ellsworth Me. You have to try them if you like onion rings. Restaurant needs a scrub and some updating... More
