Irish Pub within Walking Distance from great B&B

We stayed at The Henry Whipple House B&B (which was great!) and were recommended to eat here by the innkeeper. It was within walking distance, which was nice after the long drive up. Large selection of beers (and whiskey). Food was very good. Service was excellent and friendly. Live Irish music... read more

We were here for lunch today. Very average. I had a chicken breast sandwich. It was nicely breaded and crisply fried. Unfortunately, the chicken meat itself was dry and quite tough. French fries were fine but not warm. My wife had a Cobb salad with a grilled chicken breast. Good salad veggies. Dried out, tough chicken breast meat. Courteous service.... More

My husband and I have had a home at Newfound Lake for 11 years and have never been to Kathleen's Cottage. We saw a segment on Chronicle (a local TV Show), and thought we would give it a try. BIG MISTAKE. When we walked in, a young lady at the bar turned on her stool and said "sit wherever you... More

We were looking for a dinner spot and noticed Kathleen's had an outside seating area. We went out back and sat down right before dusk which probably wasn't the best idea due to the black flies but next time we'll make sure to arrive earlier. The drinks were good and the food was good too. We started with the Irish... More

A friend recommended this place and the hubby and I were in the area one night about dinner time and decided to stop in and try it. If you don't know exactly where this is you may miss it when driving by as we did the first time. Just look for the hardware store and you will find the restaurant... More

We loved Kathleen's ambiance, and the drinks were great. Sadly the food was only ok, and VERY salty. I wish the food was more enjoyable, because I would love to give this place a higher rating.

My daughter and I were traveling from Franklin N.H. looking for a great restaurant to have dinner in. We saw a few in Bristol for Seafood, but then spotted a little place called Kathleen's Cottage and it turned out to be an Irish Pub. We had a wonderful dinner there with excellent service and very friendly staff. It was some... More

Ridiculously good food and service! The food was truly special. Very flavorful and filling. Both the chicken medallions and the shepards pie were fantastic.
