A very good casual waterside restaurant on Newfound Lake

Other than the very upscale restaurant at the Inn on Newfound lake, The Big Catch is the only casual restaurant on Newfound Lake and the only restaurant where one can beach his boat and walk across the street to the restaurant. My wife and I make a point of doing exactly that whenever we go... read more

I don't know where the other advisor visited, but surely not THE BIG CATCH. We have never had a bad meal or bad service. We highly recommend everything. Lobster Rolls are wonder right down to a Tuna Roll, WHITE ALBACORE; YUM; all fish is fresh and the wait staff second to none. We probably visit this place twice a week... More

We were here in the summer 2014, it was great food for all of us. I had fried fish and chips, the cocktails were good, everyone enjoyed their food entrees.

Rather plain, if not dowdy, appearance, and a typical fast-food "we fry everything" dining experience. Don't dress up for this place. Very convenient for boaters to beach their small boats and walk up the beach for service.

We get there. We are seated. No one comes over to us. So a nice young later comes over and says "has anyone taken your drink order yet". We say "no". She goes and gets us our waters and said your server will be right with you. 10 minutes later..... Nothing. All the while we are watching this waitress huffing... More

Friends who live in the area took us here for dinner this week. WOW - what a great meal while sitting right on the shore of beautiful Newfound Lake. This is a smaller restaurant with seating inside and out on a deck. Between us we enjoyed large portions of fried scallops, haddock, clams, regular and sweet potato fries, and onion... More

for the past 45 years, our family has been vacationing at Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH. For the past 10 years, we have made it a tradition to meet at the Big Catch for lunch before checking in to our cottages. Yes, its busy on the weekends and sometimes you have to wait for a table but the food is... More

This is a hidden jewel of a place to eat. Not fast but good basic food with a wonderful view of Newfound Lake. Access from the lake too.

In the mood for great seafood and a perfect sunset? This is the place for you. Even though you may not be on the ocean you are on the edge of Newfound Lake which is the best lake in New Hampshire. The food is amazing everything from a Fish sandwich, to a Shrimp scampi to all of the seafood baskets... More

I went to the catch for the first time and didn't want to eat there seeing as the wait staff are teenage filth. The way the catch lets their employees dress is completely trashy. Booty shorts and tank tops with the girls breasts hanging out. Completely unprofessional! And extremely trashy in my opinion. Restaurant brand t-shirts and shorts at least... More
