I had wonderful onion soup with a garden salad, the salad was very fresh and the onion soup was the best I have eaten in a very long time.

I liked the homey atmosphere when we walked into the restaurant, and that is what you get here. Great home cooking served fast, with a smile, nice and hot and delicious. The homemade bread that you get while waiting for your meal is fabulous. ( You can buy a whole loaf after you eat to take home with you.) Lots... More

This visit to the Homestead Restaurant near Bristol was our second, both with a large group (8) including 3-4 children each time. We had no reservations but since we arrived early they were able to accommodate us on Sunday evenings both times. We had been hiking in the hills near Alexandria and were famished. This is the place to go... More

We make certain to eat dinner here any time we are in the area. It has a great feel, we always have good service. We have eaten a variety of their soups, salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts and all were well prepared and tasty. Our party tends to have every different tastes and everyone was satisfied. I am especially partial... More

I love this restaurant. I go here off and on through out the year. Mark is the owner and is a wonderful host. Always makes sure all is good. I recommend this restaurant 100o/o.

We found the Sunday night special turkey dinner to be excellent both in value and in quality. The turkey was sliced thick and mounded over homestyle stuffing with an ample portion of mashed potatoes and gravy, butternut squash and cranberry sauce. There was a choice of soup du jour or salad prior to the entree. The meal also included a decadent... More

The food is excellent as is the service. It has a comfortable atmosphere as well. I had Veal Oscar for the first time and found it to be quite good. We will go back again!

The Homestead is a favorite spot of ours when we want a guaranteed good meal with great service. Their salads are fresh with lots of local produce and very nice dressings. Warm rolls and a sweet bread in the basket to enjoy with your salad. I usually order fresh fish, and the haddock with orange cranberry sauce on the side... More

My husband and I spent the day on a road trip and ended it here at the Homestead. We were seated at a window facing a garden with lights in the trees. It was very sweet setting. I ordered sirloin tips and my husband ordered fried clams. Each entree came with two sides. We both ordered the garden salads and... More
