One of my favorite places in New Hampshire. Good food , great atmosphere .

This is one of the best places to eat in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. My family and I have been eating there for years and we always go back. The food is extraordinary One of my favorite dishes is Chicken cordon blue and they make the absolute best I have ever had. My husband tried the... read more

Family owned and operated for a long, long time. The food is always excellent and the service is the best in the area. We eat there very often and the owners make it there business to know your name and welcome you when you walk the door. They have a special cracker spread that is sooo good and they don't... More

Pluses: The food (Bistro salad w/chicken and poppyseed dressing) was excellent! Dessert (chocolate chip cookie pie w/ice cream)was as decadent as I had desired! Our waitress came to us immediately and served drinks and took our orders. Our food came out in a timely fashion. Minuses: It was FREEZING in there. We asked for the a/c to be turned off... More

We used to go to the Homestead, a favorite of a friend who has since passed away. We had vegetarian friends (including fish) visiting us and it turned out to be her birthday. After looking at local, nice, restaurants in the Bristol NH area, we picked the Homestead. Reservations were easy to make and were honored on time. The menu... More

The restaurant is in what appears to be a multi-generational 150 year old farmhouse with much memorabilia from that era. The menu is the broadest in the entire Newfound Lake region and it's all excellent, from the swordfish special through the chicken marsalla to the baby back ribs. The service was fine and the prices quite reasonable considering the quality... More

We visited The Homestead a few years ago, and decided to stop for dinner again during a recent drive. Very little has changed since out last dinner. The menu is huge, featuring seafood and meat options. If you are looking for creative cuisine, this is not the place for you. If down-to-earth, homestyle cooking is your preference, you will be... After a day of driving and seeing the sights, we stopped at the Homestead before heading back to our B&B. Perfect atmosphere to unwind. The pace of the wait staff was just right, attentive, but not hovering. Then the food! Absolutely delicious. The fish was cooked spot on. Highly recommended.

Food is always great. Specials are one of our favorites. Combinations of meats and veggies is always right on. Squash is the best veggie there!

My wife and I came and sat in the bar area on a Monday. That is the $5.00 burger night. All Angus beef. Wait staff very good, nice atmosphere as well.
