It's a grand old dining room, a bit of a dress code - no jeans - makes sense, but ..... why have screaming kids running through the dining room, if you want to be elegant adhere to the British motto, kids should be seen but not heard. The food, my wife picked the tenderloin which was excellent, I picked the... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We hope that the requirement that guest dress appropriately in resort casual attire (t-shirts, jeans, shorts and pool attire are not permitted for the evening meal) reflects the stature of the dining room itself. I am sorry our server addressed you in an unprofessional manner and will certainly be sure... More

My family has made a point of having an afternoon tea here every winter as a break in our outdoor activities. This year it was really such a disappointment! The tea itself is fine (a good selection) but the well intended staff (and really really nice people) perhaps don't know how to make tea (the loose leaves of tea were... More

My son ate practically nothing during our 4-day stay at Bretton Woods. When we arrived to check-in for dog sledding and a sleigh ride at Mount Washington Hotel, my son decided that he was starving (which usually means two bites of something before he is full). We headed into the main dining room which was just beautiful. And the buffet... More

There is a dress code for dinner; jacket and tie for the guys. A quartet played in the background and couples got up to dance. The view of Mt Washington is outstanding. And oh yeah, the food was excellent!! Don't miss the breakfast buffet. Tremendous!!

We recently stayed at the Mount Washington Hotel and we hit all of the eating places in the resort. On night one we arrived at the main dining room and we were turned away because my husband was wearing jeans (along with a shirt, tie, blazer and loafers). However, they served us in the adjoining bar/princess dining room which was... More

Excellent food and excellent service. A bit pricey for the area but I am used to Manhattan prices so I did not find it unreasonable. Try to get a table next to a window as there are great views of Mount Washington.

Good meal, lovely hotel. Busy hotel, so it gave us a feeling of being back in civilization. No rush during dining. We played 13 rounds of Hearts after dinner.

I decided to plan a vacation for the week after Christmas for my wife and daughter, I planned it very carefully with reservations for dinner and a number of outside activities. I really enjoyed our stay here. Service was the best, food was great, and the atmosphere can't be beat. We haven't stayed over again but we come just to grab drinks and food, which is always a treat.
