"Great Lunch at a Hidden Gem"

Although I had read rave reviews about Cold Mountain Cafe, I didn't go in with high expectations. In all but one very minor aspect, I was extremely impressed with our lunch. It was an uncharacteristically hot and humid afternoon in Bethlehem, NH, so I opted for a cup of gazpacho. It had savory... read more

Although this was our first visit we understand that the Cold Mountain just got a face lift and now accepts credit cards for the first time as well as having added a 7 seat bar with hard alcohol for those looking for mixed drinks. The food was delicious and the service friendly and pleasant. We enjoyed the steak special as... More

I am not a vegetarian but my companion is, we were recommended to go to this restaurant. I had the veg. tamale pie, made with sweet potato, spinach, corn tortilla and cheese. Huge piece! And very good my companion had the black bean 'cake' also very good. This is an upscale small restaurant pricey but worth it.

We stopped in for a late, but leisurely lunch before checking into a B&B nearby and were quite surprised by how wonderful the food was. The tomato bisque with gouda was particularly noteworthy. It take a while to get our food, but once we were eating it occurred to us that the wait had been worthwhile. We had been chattering... More

Stayed in the region for a few days this week and visited this restaurant for an evening meal. Our choice was limited, as Tuesday seemed to be a quiet night in that part of the White Mountains, with very few restaurants serving food. Very pleased we did. Quite an arty vibe, but with excellent service and a particularly tasty meal.... More

On our way back to Ontario to visit friends and relatives we happened to stop in the quaint town of Bethlehem, N.H. We were hoping to find a nice Cafe for lunch and we did! This is a small place with about 10 tables, nicely decorated and comfy. The menu was interesting and appeared to be made with many local... More

This cafe is worth a special trip for their signature black bean cake... tasty and savory, on a bed of spinach with lots of goat cheese and gorgeous toppings and flavors. As a longtime veggie, this was a highlight.

For a very small town, this restaurant is fantastic! The chef prepares a delicious salad with cheeses and nuts. My chicken & spinach dish was covered in a wonderful white cream sauce. My husband's steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend Cold Mountain Cafe!

We stopped here based on positive reviews. It is located in the small town of Bethlehem. It is quaint with local artwork on the walls. Local crowd, few tourists. My husband and I both ordered the quiche and salad combo. He had the broccoli/ham/cheddar and I had the spinach/fontina quiche. Each was accompanied by a nice salad with house made... More

A local suggested this place telling us to get their early. It opens at 5 so we arrived at 5:10 and got a prime table outdoors. We enjoyed local beer and wine until food service began at 5:30. By the time food service began, the place was packed and others were turned away. Limited but well-designed menu with nice wine... More
