I quite honestly wasn't sure what to expect from a restaurant in the mountains of New Hampshire, but this place didn't disappoint. First of all the setting is lovely with a view of the river. It was hard to decide what to order with all of the veal choices, but I went with the maple syrup marinated pork chop and... More

The French Onion Soup is a must---try the Pork Victor, the NY Sirloin, or the special of the day! The Salmon is also excellent.

My wife and I have eaten here several times and we have never been disappointed. The blueberry pie is to die for. Their Veal is out of this world.

We ate a simply delicious bratwurst and equally good salmon with shrimp. Very tasty bread and desserts.

We had dinner at this restaurant on a recent trip to New Hampshire. All four of us ordered Swiss dishes and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were there after dark, so did not get the benefit of the view. The atmosphere was casual and a little old-fashioned but comfortable. The chef and his wife both... More

We ate 5 meals here while we stayed at The Wayside Inn. The morning faire was varied, cooked to order, included in the price of the room and wonderful! The evening menu featured a special and a wide spectrum of choices. The salads, entrees and desserts were all scrumptious and the staff was attentive and gracious. The duck, the pork... More

We were shown to seats by our waiter in grand manner--he helped push them in. Our table has a nice cloth and overlooked a beautiful garden. The chef-owner Victor makes authentic dishes, even though he has been in New Hampshire many decades. My Zurich Veal was delicious and my husband also very much liked his pork chop order. Drinks were... More

Victor, the chef/owner of the Riverview restaurant and the Wayside Inn always serves a great meal. The Weiner Scnitzel is great, as are the many pork dishes. Never had a bad meal there over many years of visits. The homemade pies, with ice cream on the side, make a great ending to the meal.

This was the first time we had dined as a group at the Riverview Restaurant, and it was a hit. We made a spur-of-the-moment reservation for a small group of us at 7:30PM on a busy Saturday evening. Everything was great. The dining room was cool and comfortable, with great views of the river (hence the name) and a perennial... More
