Small & pricey but some of the food was INCREDIBLE!

The inside was very eclectic. I was expecting a true tavern look. The menu was very limited. The wings were good and the (I believe it was called...) "stupid" sauce was good. The burger was average/good. Beer on tap was plentiful. The clincher was the Braised short ribs and Polenta. It was an... read more

anytime I am in the area I love to stop in and grab a burger and a beer at the River Road Tavern. The staff is great, food is delicious, and the atmosphere is always good too. If you are into beer I recommend checking out their beer club - its fun!

So we sat at the bar, saw everything going on including all the chefs leaving and going outside for a smoke break; then coming back in and not a single one washed their hands. Actually the whole time we were there the hand sink was not used once... From raw wings to finished chips and everything inbetween. gRoSE!!!! Over priced... More

Let's start out by saying when this place is hopping it gets loud. It is small inside so it can get noisy, but if you're going with friends to have a good time, this shouldn't stop you. They have a great beer selection and the apps we had were very tasty. Sitting at the bar was a good experience and... More

OK place. The GOAT (greatest of all time) burger was good but not a goat and was overcooked by a lot.I went mainly because it was close and I kept seeing it among the "best" burgers in NH, but it isn't. It was tasty and the price was Ok for it, but I disappointed overall as it was way overcooked... More

The menu is limited; and on my single visit; not well executed. Basically you can have a burger; or a burger. The beer menu is widely varied; and that is likely the strength of the operation in my view. It's a good spot to have a few cold ones; but I can't wax poetic on the food menu.

So I have been here a few times but can't go back. The burger is ok but that's it. The menu is lacking and the menu hasn't changed since it opened. They do have a couple specials. The bathroom smells horrible like septic issues. There are other restaurants in the area that are better for the same atmosphere and burger.

I've been to the River Road Tavern a half dozen times over the last couple months. Best burgers in the area, and a great beer selection; both draft and bottles. I've had a few of their soup specials and they were delicious. Service has always been great.

We tried this place 2x. Once with kids for lunch and once as a couple. I really wanted to love it. Outside seating, good location, rustic interior w/ fireplace and leather couch. But the menu... Disappointed. Nothing healthy. Pub food is ok sometimes but this is a short menu and food was nothing special. Fine for an app and a... More

This is one of those neighborhood gems that you don't know about unless you ask a local, or read TripAdvisor. We are in the area for a graduation, and our hotel is near the interstate so we can't walk anywhere. We looked up where to eat, and did some research on TripAdvisor - this place sounded like us. Drinks, apps,... More
