I have been going to the Zephyr Cove Lodge for 30+ years. It has gone through a lot of changes but I think they have it "right" again. I like the menu and the food, lots of great choices all done well.

We arrived late due to bad weather. Our cabin keys were left for us with instructions that we could 'officially' check in the next day. We accidentally locked ourselves out of our cabin within a few minutes of arriving. The restaurant staff that was still there (closing up) went out of their way to get in touch with a manager... Excellent food and a great value. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was not crowded. We had reservations to tour Lake Tahoe on the M.S. Dixie II. We weren't sure where we had to go to board so we got there early enough to have dinner. It was a short wallk across the parking lot to board the M.S.... More

We have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the atmosphere and food. This last trip was disappointing. The fish and chips were not their best and the Reuben sandwich did not resemble the usual mix of sliced not chopped corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese, and thousand island dressing. Arby's makes a better Reuben. The best food served was the tortilla... More

1:20 hr wait to be served. We waited 15min to be seated -while the place was half empty. Then waited 1hr for our food. Other tables that arrived after us were served before us! Our server had a terrible attitude, saying that this place was no 'fast food' which is completely unpolite after waiting more than a resonable tiene for... More

All meals are a cut above the same thing you ordered elsewhere, it's that simple. From their Chicken fried steak, Reuben, Braised cheeks, to their fresh baked macadamia cookie with ice cream, caramel drizzle, whipped cream ....OMG this was both rich and decadent!!! A must try! Even if your staying somewhere else (shame on you!) You have GOT to have... More

Loved the menu and service. They changed the specials daily, so we ate there twice for dinner and once for dessert. The waiter (Rodney) was attentive and made sure we all was perfect.

The Lodge Restaurant has undergone a beautiful renovation, that preserved the rustic "Tahoe" feel of the place. So the surroundings are now more comfortable than ever. The service is attentive and the food is truly good. This is THE place for breakfast or brunch. The menu is eclectic and interesting (where else do you see Beef Cheeks on the menu?).... More
