This is a small restaurant and can be pressed for service when hit with a rush of traffic, so make reservations. The menu is only the start of the delicious entrees. Be sure to listen to the specials because those specials are the true fun eats. I had the antelope and it was perfect

We arrived at this restaurant at 2:45 for lunch. We sat in the bar area since it was the only section open at the time. We ordered the Bonanza Burger and a Gold Hill Red draft beer. The burger was large and served with fries - both were good, and the fries were hot. The tables were not set with... More

One of the best dining experiences we have ever had, and who could have imagined we would find it here, off the beaten track. Having a pre-dinner drink in the 1900's mining period bar, was fun, and then moving to the dining room to receive impeccable service from Vic, who is so personable and friendly, really set the stage for... This is the house restaurant in the Gold Hill Hotel. We ate here because we did not feel like leaving the hotel for the one mile trip into Virginia City, NV itself. This was a great decision. The food was great and surprisingly affordable. Service was great & our waitress was very knowledgeable in different foods. The bar is small... More

This restaurant was such a delightful surprise! The bar is the most authentic, fascinating original place I have been to. There was a full choice of alcohol and the wine recommendation was excellent. We are outside on the patio and everything was exceptional! I had the Maine Lobster salad and the calamari appetizer with remoulade sauce that was fabulous. This... More

We enjoyed a delicious dinner here with outstanding service. Lovely white tablecloth atmosphere. We had the calamari appetizer, excellently prepared , very light and delicate, appropriately portioned for an appetizer. We shared a ceasar salad, which was flavorful. My husband ordered the Carbonara (half order) which he enjoyed and I had the rib eye. Both were delicious. For dessert we... More

First of all - the very unique atmosphere - old time era, the view, the building, the furnishings, can't match this. Next, the food - amazing, very well prepared, gourmet. Great selection of food too, and something to match various budgets - from $8 pastas to $35 special of the night. The service was great and the food was served... More

Best thing about this restaurant: Vic, the impeccable, masterful waiter. Ask him to tell you stories of being John Wayne's butler! The food was very good, although I did think 14 dollars for a small salad was a bit overpriced. However, everything was very tasty. The decor is sweet, and it is in a historic property. Great views over the... More

We were staying in Virginia City in February, and found many of the restaurants there closed at 4pm that time of year. Mississippi, the bar tender at the Silver Queen called a few places for us to see what was open at around 6pm, and the Crown Point was one of them. We drove to Crown Point, and was pleasantly... We came from Reno for a birthday dinner. We were disappointed to find the casual dinner menu (not mentioned on the website or when we called). It was not busy at all and the service was very slow. The food was also a disappointment. We have eaten here before and had an amazing meal and great service. Not sure what... More

Hi Kathy- Thanks for your feedback. I'm disappointed to hear that your experience with us was less than perfect. Our fine dining service is offered Wednesday through Sunday, year-round, with the exception of several weeks in January when we shut the restaurant for heavy maintenance and cleaning. We have made a commitment to be open 7 days a week through... More
