Great Sunday brunch

We stopped here on Sunday for lunch/brunch and a cocktail. The Chili Hash with Poached eggs were excellent, as were the margaritas and bloody marys. We will definitely be back to try dinner and breakfast.

Our group of ten had dinner here on Valentines Day. Everything was delicious, and cooked properly. The atmosphere was great. The servers were friendly and helpful. The menu selection is varied, with special selections for Valentines. The bacon wrapped filet and crab stuffed sole were both wonderful. The taquitis on the appetizer menu are perfect as an entree for young... More

Great restaurant in Virginia City. I spent New Years Eve there, they had a great menu and delicious food. I was by myself and the owner kept me company! I eat here every time I visit VC. Virginia City is a great place to spend New Years Eve, plenty of entertainment and places to have a cocktail. The people are... More

This place has a great reputation, and I don't know what times of year they do it, but they used to have a weekly chicken lunch for the locals that was more affordable, call them and ask about it. A bit pricey but really great food, known to be the best place to eat on the Comstock. But Virginia City... More

Is to die for. Had to have it, but was agonizing to choose, as everything sounded soooo good! I've had plenty of fried chicken restaurants claiming to be "the best", including The Screen Door in Portland Oregon, which is legendary, but the chicken at Cafe Del Rio is something to crow about. (Sorry, I couldn't resist). The sides were marvelous,... More

Cafe Del Rio stands out in a town which is not noted for excellent restaurants. Despite being very busy on a Saturday evening, our service was very attentive. There are a number of interesting choices of Mexican food so don't expect stereotypical choices. In addition, two specials were offered: prime rib and salmon. We eat out frequently and this was... In Virginia City and thinking Mexican food. I wasn't sure the town had any. There is one place and this is it. It has nice atmosphere and very clean. the staff is friendly and the food id very good. It's also reasonable in costs. You might miss it as it's located down on the South end of town. It is... More

I headed into the Cafe Del Rio on Halloween anticipating the delicious chicken enchiladas I've grown accustomed to after several visits but was pleasantly surprised to accept my server's suggestion to try the BBQ ribs. With eyes bigger than my stomach, I launched myself upon a steaming plate of some of the most delicious and moist ribs I have ever... More

Excellent food from a good if limited menu. Good guitarist who played some lovely music. Have dinner here, you won't regret it.

This restaurant is incredible in every way. We found the service to be kind and personable, the atmosphere was enjoyable and the food was absolutelt divine! I passed up all the other restaurants along the boardwalk because I wanted some Mexican food and boy was I right. My kids, husband and even my 1 year old had a great time... More
