The Palace Saloon and Restaurant was our destination to "knock down the road dust" and have lunch. The lunches were served quickly and they have a nice selection for families and children. I had the traditional "French Dip" and it was quite good. This is a clean and enjoyable place to dine in the style of old Virginia City.

On a visit to Virginia City we were looking for a place to have lunch. The Palace had a good selection of beer so we stopped in. We split the bison burger and each had a order of coleslaw. They do charge for splitting meals. The coleslaw was excellent to our tastes since we don't like a lot of mayonnaise.... More

Our family decided to try out the Palace Saloon for lunch after touring Virginia City. Four of us ordered burgers, and one tried the Reuben sandwich. I ordered the cheese burger on a bun which came with lettuce, tomato, and a pickle on the side. There was mustard and ketchup on the table to add. It was just ok...and the... More

The food was so-so but the service was excellent. Very busy at lunch time be we were served in a timely manner. Pricey meals but that is to be expected in a tourist location with no fast food places. Nice bar with at least 3 TVs tuned to Nascar.

Had a hamburger and a salad, it was OK, a bit expensive. Closes really early, we just made it in, others were turned away. Many of the restaurants in town close early, they have more day trippers than people who spend the night. Nice and quiet at night after most tourists leave.

This was our way of describing how good the burger was, it was so good, it was downright dirty! Best burger I think i have ever had, superb quality burger cooked medium with dripping jack cheese on sourdough....so, so good. My partners Reuben was described as similar, filled with beef and so good. The sides of fries, onion rings and... More

A trip to Virginia City is a unique and memorable experience. I did not expect to find great food, but the Palace surprised us. 2 orders from the large selection of Reuben sandwiches and the triple cheese melt and we were all pleased! Nice quality bread, served with a smile in a unique setting made for a great visit.

The food was very good and the service was great. There was only one waitress when we went to breakfast and she was on top of it all, no waiting! The ham and country fried steak are a MUST!
