Cute little place with friendly service & good food.

My husband and I were in VC this past weekend for the Rocky Mountain Oyster Festival. After a night of too much fun we awoke around 7:30 a.m. and asked our hotel clerk upon check out for breakfast recommendations. We were told to go to either the Bonanza or Palace. We drove on up to the main... read more

Had high hopes for a proper reubin sandwich. This one was missing the sauerkraut and the dressing was more like plain mayo instead of Russian or Thousand Island dressing. Fail.

Had high hopes for the palace as a local entrepreneur recommended the restaurant. However, the food that way short of my expectations of mediocre. Or wait person was very sweet, but did not come back until after we finished the meal learn that the soup was terrible in this club sandwich had too much mayo base. The soup tasted like... More

In a wonderful, quaint throwback tourist city, we were looking for a restaurant with options other than burgers, BBQ or nachos. Look no further! Great menu of apps, salads, burgers, sandwiches and entrees. Wait staff are super friendly and fast. A must stop if you're in search of a meal!

We were visiting Virginia City and randomly chose the Palace for lunch. Although the restaurant wasn't really busy, the service was slow (which was disappointing as there is a lot to see in Virginia City). The nachos were good but the bison burger wasn't. It appeared to be a preformed patty, dry and lacked flavor (I have definitely had better).... More

The Palace Saloon is the perfect setting; lots of wood insde; great bar with unique chairs/stools and very rustic. We wanted a small lunch so opted for the salad, soup and 1/2 sandwich special. It was excellent and the bartenders were wonderful and interesting to talk to in order to learn about this very special town in the most beautiful... More

Arrived about 1130... Perfect time to get a table and food before the rush. Staff friendly, and hopping busy.yet still attentive. Highly recommend the Hawaiian burger! Excellent. So is the potato salad. Even made our daughter a specialty drink.

We toured Virginia City the other day and had lunch at the Palace. It was outstanding. One entrée was the San Francisco burger, one the pastrami and the others the patty melt. All entrees were great. The fries and coleslaw were also great. Service was outstanding. We also had our choice of craft beers. Overall, it was outstanding and highly... More

We went to Virginia City on October 31 for Nevada Day/Halloween. We like to wander up and down the old wooden sidewalks. We stopped at the Palace for dinner. Food was very fresh and good and fairly priced. The margaritas were boosalicious and really hit the spot! We will eat there whenever we are in VC!

And dad never compliments any cooking that isn't mom's. The food is excellent, the service top notch, the owner a really super nice guy, the prices are great for the quality. Only thing I suggest is if you're like me and don't drink domestic beer (I'm pretty much a Guinness only girl) don't get the Bloody Beer. (A beer version... More
