Amazingly good food but. poor service

We were staying at a condo on Kingsbury Grade and did not want to venture far since it was the 4th of July and the traffic was crazy. I made a reservatio for 6 P.M. and we were promptly seated and drink orders were take. When the drinks were delivered the waitress took our orders for food. One... read more

We must have timed it just right, there was only a couple of tables when we arrived for lunch. Service was prompt & very friendly. Only our second time having Thai food, I had the Pad Ka Pow with jasmine rice, great flavors & portion. Lunch specials were around $7. We wanted to go back the next day, but they... More

We have a home close by and have eaten at Thai One On many times. Sometimes we eat in, and often we do takeout. The food is uniformly excellent. Curries are rich, and they will add spice according to your tolerance. We love the pad Thai, usually with chicken, but other additions work well too. They closed for renovation on... More

Love the crab fried rice at this place - lots of large pieces of crab included - much better than at any other Thai restaurant I've been to. Lots of variety on the menu so you can order whatever type of Pad Tai or curry dish you desire. Very reasonable prices.

Just a cute, sparsely furnished, chalet-ish, family-run, authentic Thai joint. The food was excellent and they have all the classics. The pad Thai was not "over-tamarinded" : the curries were rich and well seasoned, and the food came out nice and hot! My only wish is they'd hire a niece, nephew or teen to bus, set tables, run checks and... More

In a very small space, not particularly long on dramatic ambiance, this little gem sits at the foot of the Kingsbury Grade. I have eaten lots of Thai food in my day, but this was absolutely the best!! The shrimp spring rolls were made as we ordered them, the Pad Thai just lovely, the green curry THE best and the... More

Food was quite good, hit the spot. Service was acceptable, not overly attentive or overbearing. Price point was about as expected for the area. I'd go back.

After reading mixed reviews, decided to give it a try. We were there for lunch and each selected one of the $6.95 lunch specials. We received a small salad with an interesting dressing but the greens could have been drained better. When our entrees arrived, the plates where colorful and they did look appealing. My husband had the recommended fried... More

Had Pad Thai (w/chicken) and Hangover noodles (w/beef); both perfect. Tender meat, flavorful dishes, will eat here again readily.

We eat here every time we are in Lake Tahoe. The TomKa soup is great as well as the yellow curry. The pad thai was a little dry to me but everyone else liked it. I did have the pineapple fried rice for the first time and would do that again. I ordered the "beef jerky" on the specials wall... More
