This is a must stop for us whenever we are in Tahoe. Best breakfast on the hill for sure :) Saturday morning our usual fare was interrupted by a huge black bear running up Kingsbury Grade. How can you beat great food? With even better entertainment provided by Mother Nature. Simply amazing.

You cannot go to Heavenly Valley and not have breakfast here. They may be leaning a little too much now on reputation (it's kind of Waffle House with atmosphere). We are real "breakfast people" and were a little disappointed not to see some specials that knock your eyes out - variations on Eggs Benedict etc., but we did have a... More

Service was slow and for what you pay, I saw more plate than food. Will not go back. If you want a good breakfast go to Bert's Cafe.

Redhut is a local dinner that does two things great - Breakfast and Lunch. That's it. The coffee keeps coming - and its great. More food that a normal person can eat. Crowded, noisy and fun. A perfect little place to eat.

We had breakfast here two times. Both times the food was good. I liked the pancakes. The strawberries on top were very fresh. We tried the Rosti which was recommended. That was good, slightly greasy. When it is busy the service goes down. Because they don't necessarily assign a waiter to you, we sometimes got overlooked on refills for drinks.

It's hard to say much about breakfast, especially when discussing a restaurant that has multiple locations (we have been to three of them in South Lake thus far), but Red Hut is a real joy. Everything is fresh and flavorful, and the menu has some creative options like taking their already-wonderful has browns and combining them with ham or bacon,... More

If you get a chance to eat here - do it! It's a great "locals" place and you will not leave hungry. Reasonably priced and excellent food - lot's of options. I personally recommend the breakfast - large portions of what your grandma made - just good ol home cookin. Not a fancy place, so you don't need to get... More

Small, FamilyOwned, diner type restaurant, we always go for the breakfast. More than I could finish. We met one of the owners and had a nice chat. Don's Special was eggs, bacon or sausage, and pancakes. Everything was very good.

The Red Hut has excellent food, and a great value. And you get plenty for your money. You will find that service is top notch also.
