6,225 feet above sea level in the Sierra Nevadas sits Lake Tahoe, spanning the bold state line between California and Nevada. With a leg on either side of that divide, you can bet this popular resort area has a slightly split personality. Roughly half the visitors here plan to kick back California-style on the side that bears the Golden State's name, to engage in low-key sightseeing, hiking, fishing, camping and boating, while the other half heads straight for Nevada, and all that that name heralds. Ritzy attractions, big-name entertainment and the lure of the jackpot beckon at abundant glittering casinos there, so, what? You can't decide? Ehh - don't sweat it. We've struck a happy balance for ye of many interests. The Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is located in Harvey's Resort and Casino, just 5 minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort and only 1,000 yards from Lake Tahoe itself. So whether you gamble your money in casinos or your life on the mountains, the Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is the perfect place. Our Alpine ski lodge decor makes you feel right at home if you're ready to relax, but if gaming the night away is more your style, our triangular bar in the restaurant's center features 18 video poker machines to make you feel like a real high roller. And if you've worked up an appetite from all this, you better believe you've come to the right place. Nevada Magazine rated Hard Rock Cafe Tahoe the #1 burger in the state! So step inside the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe and walk the state line for a rocking great time.

Food was decent, nothing special. Was kind of a busy weekend, and this restaurant wasn't busy, so we gave it a go. Very spendy for Tahoe. I expect these prices in Vegas, but not here. Four of us had a burger, and a beer, and our bill was $120.

We are traveling the US visiting all the Hard Rock Cafes and this is one of those that are so unique from the rest. While the new image of Hard Rock Cafes is going with the shiny black and grey décor this Café in Lake Tahoe stays with the woodsy/cabin theme. Very, very nice. It's not a stand alone restaurant.... Did Cowboy Rib eye steaks, both were outstanding. One of my best meals on our trip. Highly recommend, is expensive, but worth it.

Hard Rock is not a great restaurant but its burgers are famous. The only problem is the place where the restaurant is (inside one of the casinos). You see people smoking and gambling. The menu is OK as in other HRCs. There's a good beer list to choose from.

Matias, Thank you for taking the time to post a review about the Hard Rock in Lake Tahoe. I understand your frustration with the smoky casino that you must walk through to visit us. One way to avoid this is to valet your vehicle (it’s free) and take the escalator from the front desk up to the café. This would... More

I appreciate it was the end of the season but I cannot believe the restaurant was closed in the evening. There were plenty of people in the casino. Perhaps they wanted to keep them there!!

I believe that you are mixed up with the Hard Rock Casino. We are the Hard Rock Café that is located inside Harvey’s casino. We are open every day till at least 11pm and have not had any days that we were closed since last Thanksgiving. Please come check us out the next time you are in town. More

The food was typical chain restaurant food, the staff was friendly but service was very slow and it took a long time to get it. It was not particularly busy when we came in or when we left.

I wanted to thank you for your feedback and wish that we could have made a more impactful impression on you during your last visit. It sounds like your food took a little extra time and hope this will not detour you from visiting again on your next trip to the Tahoe area. More

April is "dead" season in Stateline. After realizing all the decent restaurants within walking distance were not open for business on this particular night, we ended up at Hard Rock Cafe. It was getting late so we opted to share an appetizer and the full rack of "fall off the bone" Baby Back Ribs as described on the menu. The... More
