6,225 feet above sea level in the Sierra Nevadas sits Lake Tahoe, spanning the bold state line between California and Nevada. With a leg on either side of that divide, you can bet this popular resort area has a slightly split personality. Roughly half the visitors here plan to kick back California-style on the side that bears the Golden State's name, to engage in low-key sightseeing, hiking, fishing, camping and boating, while the other half heads straight for Nevada, and all that that name heralds. Ritzy attractions, big-name entertainment and the lure of the jackpot beckon at abundant glittering casinos there, so, what? You can't decide? Ehh - don't sweat it. We've struck a happy balance for ye of many interests. The Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is located in Harvey's Resort and Casino, just 5 minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort and only 1,000 yards from Lake Tahoe itself. So whether you gamble your money in casinos or your life on the mountains, the Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is the perfect place. Our Alpine ski lodge decor makes you feel right at home if you're ready to relax, but if gaming the night away is more your style, our triangular bar in the restaurant's center features 18 video poker machines to make you feel like a real high roller. And if you've worked up an appetite from all this, you better believe you've come to the right place. Nevada Magazine rated Hard Rock Cafe Tahoe the #1 burger in the state! So step inside the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe and walk the state line for a rocking great time.

The Hard Rock Cafe is inside Harvey's Casino, not to be confused with the Hard Rock Hotel which is next door but not affiliated with the restaurant. I've been coming to South Lake Tahoe for many years and usually end up at the Hard Rock Cafe to get some good steak fajitas after a day of skiing... read more

We arrived in the restaurant close to shift change and on a under staffed day so our service at first looked like it was going to not turn out to good. But more servers came on shift and everything was more then expected. Food and service (after the little starting hiccup) was wonderful.

We were here mid week around 8pm. The cafe was almost empty and yet the service was extremely slow. Our drink order for a party of 4 (2 beers & water) took 15 minutes to arrive and our simple meal took 45 minutes. The waitress took pains to tell us the Caesar salad, beet salad and one order of fish... More

Dear Travelmystic, Thank you for taking the time to inform us of this timely and unacceptable dining experience. I also wanted to clarify this this was the Hard Rock Café located inside Harvey’s Casino. It sounds like you may have been trying to post a response for Firebreak that is located inside the Hard Rock Casino. The only reason I... More

The dinner and drinks were ok, a little overpriced. The breakfast was horrible: overcooked bacon, undercooked eggs, if they were even really eggs, no butter on toast. Waitress inattentive.

This restaurant is located inside Harvey's casino not the Hard Rock Casino, which is adjacent. There is some wonderful rock 'n roll memorabilia and a nice wood decor, but it's hard to find, pricey, and portions are small. A person has to walk through a maze of slot machines in order to find this restaurant which is located in the back... More

Thank you for your valuable feedback about the great service and the Manager interaction. I do apologize for the location and I know that many guests do not want to walk through the casino to find us. One option is to valet park at Harvey’s (its free) and the café is located just up the escalator from the front desk. More

I had seen several Hard Rock Cafes including those in other countries where I find it more exciting than this. The sales clerk at the store was too chatty.

Strangely the Hard Rock Cafe is located in Harvey's Hotel, not next door at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. (We found this out he hard way... by wandering the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino, only to be told "It's next door".) We only ate here once. We decided to go for appetizers and dessert. The food is perfectly ok (as for... More

We love this place! Good food, good people. We've made many friends there over the years. They even commisioned a limited edition pin of my boyfriend in 2007. The Cookie Dave pin.
