6,225 feet above sea level in the Sierra Nevadas sits Lake Tahoe, spanning the bold state line between California and Nevada. With a leg on either side of that divide, you can bet this popular resort area has a slightly split personality. Roughly half the visitors here plan to kick back California-style on the side that bears the Golden State's name, to engage in low-key sightseeing, hiking, fishing, camping and boating, while the other half heads straight for Nevada, and all that that name heralds. Ritzy attractions, big-name entertainment and the lure of the jackpot beckon at abundant glittering casinos there, so, what? You can't decide? Ehh - don't sweat it. We've struck a happy balance for ye of many interests. The Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is located in Harvey's Resort and Casino, just 5 minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort and only 1,000 yards from Lake Tahoe itself. So whether you gamble your money in casinos or your life on the mountains, the Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is the perfect place. Our Alpine ski lodge decor makes you feel right at home if you're ready to relax, but if gaming the night away is more your style, our triangular bar in the restaurant's center features 18 video poker machines to make you feel like a real high roller. And if you've worked up an appetite from all this, you better believe you've come to the right place. Nevada Magazine rated Hard Rock Cafe Tahoe the #1 burger in the state! So step inside the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe and walk the state line for a rocking great time.

It was Ho Hum OK

It was average service, average food and High priced which we expected at Tahoe. Some of the food was warm but not hot and it was very loud inside with just a few customers.

Loved the burgers at Hard Rock! People very friendly and helpful. Saw Beatles pictures, Elvis clothes, Smothers Brothers information, and Ricky Nelson's history. Fond memories of my childhood on every wall. Fun!

I wanted to thank you for your feedback and wish that we could have made a more impactful impression on you during your last visit. We do get some pushback at times on pricing but do our best to keep things reasonable and competitive in a very pricy market. I hope that you will look past this so-so experience and... More

Large servings, of well prepared foods. Busy, even at 10:30 pm. Several locals groups celebrating a birthday and anniversary.. Wait staff was exuberant, and helpful. (I try to find eateries that the locals patronize. Good local support is an indicator of good meals and service.)

It would've been nice to have the HRC part of the HR Hotel. It was ok. Cute woodsy log cabin look. We got put in the outside dining, which is a patio look but in the casino. I didn't like being outside of the HRC atmosphere. The staff was really nice and helpful. They have a little store in the... More

Atmosphere was as expected, but volume was too loud! Could not hear people next to me talk. Also music geared to hard rock. Would have appreciated some earlier rock to balance. Food was good, but portions were skimpy on pulled pork sandwich. Alcoholic milkshakes were unique and tasty, but $9.75 each, a bit much. 5 hamburger/pulled pork sandwiches, 1 fahita,... More

We decided to stop here on our way back to Reno. What we thought was odd, the café is in Harvey's and not the hard rock hotel itself. Just across the street but still. Lunch was okay and prices were average. Not very busy, but it was a Monday afternoon.

We've eaten here for years and always enjoyed the menu choices. Now the menu is more geared towards burgers and other meats. We miss the pastas and larger salad offers from the past. Food now seems a bit pricey as well as the drinks. I really don't understand how you can have two drink menus with no prices. It was... More

Ironic that the Hard Rock Cafe is in Harvey's and not the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The Hard Rock has been in Harvey's for quite some time whereas the old Horizon was bought by Hard Rock recently. I had one of the special Legendary special hamburgers featured the Java Lava. The price seemed a bit pricey ($16.95) but I... More
