Description: 6,225 feet above sea level in the Sierra Nevadas sits Lake Tahoe, spanning the bold state line between California and Nevada. With a leg on either side of that divide, you can bet this popular resort area has a slightly split personality. Roughly half the visitors here plan to kick back California-style on the side that bears the Golden State's name, to engage in low-key sightseeing, hiking, fishing, camping and boating, while the other half heads straight for Nevada, and all that that name heralds. Ritzy attractions, big-name entertainment and the lure of the jackpot beckon at abundant glittering casinos there, so, what? You can't decide? Ehh - don't sweat it. We've struck a happy balance for ye of many interests. The Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is located in Harvey's Resort and Casino, just 5 minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort and only 1,000 yards from Lake Tahoe itself. So whether you gamble your money in casinos or your life on the mountains, the Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is the perfect place. Our Alpine ski lodge decor makes you feel right at home if you're ready to relax, but if gaming the night away is more your style, our triangular bar in the restaurant's center features 18 video poker machines to make you feel like a real high roller. And if you've worked up an appetite from all this, you better believe you've come to the right place. Nevada Magazine rated Hard Rock Cafe Tahoe the #1 burger in the state! So step inside the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe and walk the state line for a rocking great time.

Our server was GREAT! He knew the menu well and made appropriate suggestions upon request. We really enjoy our meals when dining here. The portions are very large and we typically share our meals.

While the atmosphere is ski village related, it is in the Harvey's Hotel, and the typical run of the menu Hard Rock. Dissapointed there was no soups or chili on the menu.

Thank you for your response and I would like to apologize for the lack of soup and chili options on the menu. We actionably run soups in the winter on snow days and hope that you will give us a second chance the next time in the Tahoe area. More

Stopped in for breakfast before the football game. Same waitress we had a year ago. Happy hour $4 Bloody Mary and mimosas. Breakfast menu is small, limited selection, but Avery good food. Fast, friendly service.

This was a great place 2 years ago. I was really disappointed this time. I ordered a salad. Some of the greens were actually yellow, some leaves were slimy. ..my salad was wilted. It was terrible. I complained and got another one. I didn't get yellow leaves the second time around but the salad still clearly didn't seem fresh. The... More

I wanted to be safe so I ordered the chicken fajitas. I've honestly never had bad fajitas, until yesterday. The chicken was reminiscent of maybe canned chicken of some sort, very rubbery and no flavor. I asked for corn tortillas and the young man said no problem, however they were so hard I had to ask for some fresh ones.... More

Stopped by here the first night of our trip, glad they were still open. Started off with the potato skins, which were delicious. The atmosphere is fun and the service was spot on. Very attentive and nice ladies (no dudes that night) My burger was delicious, cooked to perfections and the drinks were poured strong. I would suggest maybe longer... More

We came in here with a few friends and had some drinks. Bartenders are very nice and talkative the drinks were good (all I drank was beer) but the girls enjoyed there mixed drinks. We didn't eat but the food looked good.

They have absolutely no vegan option. 2 of the 7 people in our party were vegan and the server had no option even after we asked her to go ask her manager or chef. Pretty amazing since we aren't picky at all. Seems they should at least have a vegan "veggie" burger as that would take zero effort and they... More
