6,225 feet above sea level in the Sierra Nevadas sits Lake Tahoe, spanning the bold state line between California and Nevada. With a leg on either side of that divide, you can bet this popular resort area has a slightly split personality. Roughly half the visitors here plan to kick back California-style on the side that bears the Golden State's name, to engage in low-key sightseeing, hiking, fishing, camping and boating, while the other half heads straight for Nevada, and all that that name heralds. Ritzy attractions, big-name entertainment and the lure of the jackpot beckon at abundant glittering casinos there, so, what? You can't decide? Ehh - don't sweat it. We've struck a happy balance for ye of many interests. The Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is located in Harvey's Resort and Casino, just 5 minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort and only 1,000 yards from Lake Tahoe itself. So whether you gamble your money in casinos or your life on the mountains, the Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is the perfect place. Our Alpine ski lodge decor makes you feel right at home if you're ready to relax, but if gaming the night away is more your style, our triangular bar in the restaurant's center features 18 video poker machines to make you feel like a real high roller. And if you've worked up an appetite from all this, you better believe you've come to the right place. Nevada Magazine rated Hard Rock Cafe Tahoe the #1 burger in the state! So step inside the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe and walk the state line for a rocking great time.

The food was okay. We ordered the loaded nachos as an appetizer and had difficulties munching it all (we were 6 people!). The memorabilia on the walls is nice, just like any other Hard Rock Cafe in the world. For what it’s worth I think the prices were too high.

First, you would think that the Hard Rock Cafe would be located inside the Hard Rock Casino, well no, it is hidden inside of Harvey 's. Second, even though we were three of seven people in the restaurant, it took a long time to be able to place our order and then to receive our food. Third, $16 for a... More

I always love visiting hard rock for their well-known fajitas. Guacamole was freshly prepared and wait-staff were as good as service gets. Outstanding.

We were staying in the nearby Harrah's Hotel, which is attached to Harvey's Hotel -- where the Hard Rock Cafe is located -- via an underground tunnel. We merely had basic meals (a burger and fries, Caesar salad, etc.) but everything was tasty and attractively presented. Service was friendly and fun, as is typical of the chain, and (as likewise... Decent food and great fries. It was a quiet and peaceful Thursday night in early December with very few guests it seemed in Harvey's. Hence the Hard Rock Cafe was fairly empty. Still the service was overall decent with a caring management that checked on the tables to make sure everyone and everything was good. The food was decent as... More

I'll admit we had a fairly big party (10) for breakfast, however I would have expected a better experience--especially when the place didn't seem all that busy. Not impressed by menu. Corn beef hash: nasty. Took forever just to get our waters and our milk never did arrive, so we cancelled it. There were a few other irritants, but my... More

I have eaten here a few times over the years. The dinner is not bad but stay away for breakfast. It's not horrible but it tastes like Denny's at twice the price. It is only open from 9 to noon on the weekend so it is clearly not their speciality.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening around 6:00. I was greeted by a pleasant hostess who seated me promptly. The server was very cordial, attentive to my needs, and kept me apprised of the waiting time for my order. I had a hamburger with fries, and it was really good. This restaurant is inside Harvey's Hotel and Casino.... More

We visited Lake Tahoe out of season, so the area wasn't busy and the Hard Rock Cafe reflected that. That meant the service we got was fast and attentive from our excellent waitress. The food was also very good. The only strange thing is the fact that it's inside the Harvey's hotel/casino when there's a Hard Rock Hotel next door... More

We ate at this hard rock on Christmas Day. Was hoping for something with eggs for a brunch type of thing for Christmas. Was their normal menu. Food is good but our waitress was not friendly. I don't like the set up of this one. It is in Harvey's (which is odd dont you think given there is a hard... More
