After 6 years spending every time my birthday at the chart house, the food quality and the mixed drinks are getting worse!I love the view, it makes my soul soar to see the sunset over Lake Tahoe!then the food arrives, dry filet mignon, unedible salad , excellent lava cake! So go for desert and the view!!

If you are the sort of person who likes fabulous views of one the world's most pristine mountain lakes, with a comfortable elegance type of ambience, accompanied by a very thorough menu of food and wines, you might like this place. Most if not all the the tables have excellent views of the lake, and dinner is often accompanied by... More

The appetizers were awesome, as was the dessert. The service was also awesome – our server was a delightful gentleman. He was attentive and made us feel very welcome. The main course was the problem. It wasn’t until we left the restaurant, that I discovered that this place is better known for its fish, rather than its meat. We ordered... More

Had dinner here with some friends recently. Service was fantastic, thanks Andrea, the atmosphere was not stuffy like I expected and the food was excellent. Had a surf and turf that consisted of scallops and braised short ribs. The scallops were the best I have ever had. They were cooked perfectly and the drizzled sauce flavor was very nice. The... Spectacular views and reasonable happy hour menu. We didn't stay for dinner because we filled up on the $4,$5,$6 appetizers and $5 wines. The ambiance is ski chalet elegant, relaxing and just formal enough to make it a great date restaurant. The staff were nice and the $6 mojitos, well worth the money.

We went with "reservations' - table, as well as second misgivings about eating at this Landry chain spot while on a great ski vacation. We were very pleasantly surprised. First (and this was a first for Chart House) our waiter was impeccable: smart, pleasant without that sappiness, and close to European class by not hounding us all night, but being... More

Great happy hour! Fantastic view and excellent food and service! Seafood is always fresh. Just a quick trip up the hill from the main road.

We have passed this restaurant numerous times over the years and wanted to visit. This vacation we finally did. We had great food and service. Among other items we tried the lobster bisque and loved it so much we came back for more a few days later. We tried a couple appetizers and several entres and they were all good.... More

4th year in a row we visit super bowl weekend. This will be the last time we go mainly because the food is just average and the service this time was awful. We always go at night when theres no view so if thats important - consider going early. I get that its a busy weekend but from the tasteless... More
