Philosophy of the Food: Tradition and Uncompromising Quality The philosophy of the food at Mirabelle is to respect the tradition of the restaurant and its food, as well as to respect the uncompromising quality of each ingredient that goes into each dish. At Mirabelle, it is not about the plate, or the flatware, or the stemware: it is about quality of the food on that plate, the quality of the wine in the stemware, and the quality, warmth and tradition of the service. Commitment to these ideas is what has brought Mirabelle this far and is what will sustain Mirabelle into the future. The menu at Mirabelle will feature as much local and seasonal product as possible to stay true to the concept of fine French food. Whenever possible whatever can be made to standard in-house, will be made in-house: i.E., All pastas, certain cured meats and charcuterie, and certain fresh cheeses. The menu at Mirabelle will always reflect what is at the peak of seasonality and as local as possible, which is the way the French have been cooking for hundreds of years, tradition. Because of this constant commitment to quality, seasonality and tradition, the menu is well thought out and tightly focused on the concept. It may seem, compared to some other similarly sized area restaurants, fairly small: do a few things, but do them extremely well. Or, for music lovers: play only the notes you want to play. Menu items are designed to be reasonably sized, to encourage the guest to order multiple courses. The menu will, for the most part, be a la carte style. At times throughout the year, due to seasonality and to reflect specific holidays, multi-course, fixed price menu will be offered along with the regular menu. Philosophy of the Service: Warm, friendly, professional and treats the guest as a guest. Each guest at Mirabelle is treated as you would a guest in your home. Hospitality is a lost art, and we at Mirabelle are bent on bringing this art back. When guests come to a restaurant they are hoping to be treated with great care and understanding. We want our guests to return not just because of the food, but because they love the hospitality they receive while they are with us. The service staff at Mirabelle is well-trained and knowledgeable about the food being served and preparations, as well as wine and spirit savvy. All of this combines to offer the guest a very special dining experience that can be enjoyed for any reason or no particular reason at all.

The one and only French restaurant in Lake Tahoe.

5 minutes drive from Montbleu hotel. It's a hidden jewel in Lake Tahoe, mostly cater to the local. Foie gras was well prepare, beef tenderloin was outstanding. Must try dessert: "souffle". Service was very attentive, friendly and professional. I will definitely return.

We'd been at this restaurant many times and dinner was always by the menu. This year we reserved through opentable and there was no info about a fixed menu or the price of such menu. When we arrived they served us one oyster and one small crouton with imitation of caviar. And were told that dinner was a fixed menu... More

As a local, Mirabelle's has long been a favorite dinner house of mine. It's a small, hidden spot with no draw other than good food and service. The chef, while preping for dinner, is now serving a limited menu lunch. What a treat on a snowy afternoon. Drop by before two & enjoy a delicious, unhurried lunch with a lovely... More

It's off the beaten path, and in a strip mall on Kingsbury drive, but it's worth the work finding it. Food and service are great, with some really interesting daily specials. We went for lunch and had the cassoulet which was a good choice here. Also the wine list is pretty impressive for a small place

Mirabella's is one of our go to restaurants when we come to Tahoe. The food is always good and the specials are very creative. We enjoyed the "onion tart" appetizer and two specials, trout and pumpkin gnocchi-both were very well prepared and a treat to eat!

We had a wonderful dinner last Thursday, a slow night at this small gem. My wife had a mixed house salad and I had the onion soup, my wife then had the mustard marinated roasted pork tenderloin and I had roast loin of venison, both of these accopmanied by local roasted squash and other vegetables. The salad was very fresh,... More

Mirabelle is a must in all of Lake Tahoe. It has been one of Tahoe's top restaurants for over 15 years and now, under new ownership, is Better Than Ever. Chef Ken has a passion for food and wine and it shines through on every visit. Great service, warm atmosphere and a true love for the entire dining experience. Call... More

What a great restaurant. At first we were unsure it being a "French" restaurant. But don't hesitate, it is not too French. Kaitlyn our waitress was the best. She made the best Gin Gimlets we had ever tasted. Also a Fitchgerald! She even share the recipes. The soufflé was incredible. All ingredients were fresh and prepared to showcase their great... More

This is a small restaurant so make reservations if you want to make sure you get a table. Both the Mirabelle House Salad and the Alsatian Onion Tarte were excellent. We have mixed reviews on the Mustard-Marinated Roasted Pork Tenderloin. One of us liked the mustard sauce, the other didn't. The Vegetable Pavé was ok but we wouldn't order it... More

A Federal employee kindly gave us the recommendation-I think they are expected to steer clear of personal opinions so we're especially grateful. My husband had the lamb and I had the steak. We started off with the best onion tart I've ever had in my life. We finished off with profiteroles and the peach dessert. Everything, including the ice cream,... More
