Philosophy of the Food: Tradition and Uncompromising Quality The philosophy of the food at Mirabelle is to respect the tradition of the restaurant and its food, as well as to respect the uncompromising quality of each ingredient that goes into each dish. At Mirabelle, it is not about the plate, or the flatware, or the stemware: it is about quality of the food on that plate, the quality of the wine in the stemware, and the quality, warmth and tradition of the service. Commitment to these ideas is what has brought Mirabelle this far and is what will sustain Mirabelle into the future. The menu at Mirabelle will feature as much local and seasonal product as possible to stay true to the concept of fine French food. Whenever possible whatever can be made to standard in-house, will be made in-house: i.E., All pastas, certain cured meats and charcuterie, and certain fresh cheeses. The menu at Mirabelle will always reflect what is at the peak of seasonality and as local as possible, which is the way the French have been cooking for hundreds of years, tradition. Because of this constant commitment to quality, seasonality and tradition, the menu is well thought out and tightly focused on the concept. It may seem, compared to some other similarly sized area restaurants, fairly small: do a few things, but do them extremely well. Or, for music lovers: play only the notes you want to play. Menu items are designed to be reasonably sized, to encourage the guest to order multiple courses. The menu will, for the most part, be a la carte style. At times throughout the year, due to seasonality and to reflect specific holidays, multi-course, fixed price menu will be offered along with the regular menu. Philosophy of the Service: Warm, friendly, professional and treats the guest as a guest. Each guest at Mirabelle is treated as you would a guest in your home. Hospitality is a lost art, and we at Mirabelle are bent on bringing this art back. When guests come to a restaurant they are hoping to be treated with great care and understanding. We want our guests to return not just because of the food, but because they love the hospitality they receive while they are with us. The service staff at Mirabelle is well-trained and knowledgeable about the food being served and preparations, as well as wine and spirit savvy. All of this combines to offer the guest a very special dining experience that can be enjoyed for any reason or no particular reason at all.

Truly refreshing although real traditional French menu: sweetbreads en croute, pheasant stuffed pheasant, venison, rack of lamb, sweet dessert, you won't find this elsewhere in Tahoe. forget the bad reviews they were wrong & should have had burgers on the strip... give Mirabelle a try if you want your palate to experience freshly prepared new items with reasonable wines at... Food is great here. Real french chef, fine dinning but yet very homey. We had the foie and the soufflé. Can't get any better. Love it love it

By all means, the legacy continues - great food to be had here! The new owner/chef comes from Napa with pedigree restaurant experience. This is not his first rodeo...so excited to have the best french restaurant at the Lake...back in biz! Soft opening was this week.

Great food in a quiet atmosphere. Chef owns the restaurant. Have eaten there many times over the years I have been to Lake Tahoe. While reservations are recommended, I have not needed them on Sunday nights. Closed on Monday. My rating is really a 4 1/2.

I have dined at Mirabelle numerous times. Each time is wonderful; the menu changes seasonally. It is a small restaurant with hand-crafted food, with attentive and friendly wait staff.
