Never a bad meal, never a bad beer! Great Basin is our "Cheers;" we go there every time we visit Sparks, which is usually once or twice a month... Their flagship beers are fantastic (my favorite is Chilebeso), their garlic fries are delicious, and the dinner menu is out of this world. Stop in for a beer or a meal;... More

Great Basin is a nice place to sit and have a burger and a beer. We sat out on the patio and my husband got a burger and garlic fries that were really tasty. He tried one of there beers and it was not expensive and was very good. .I got the Thai lettuce wraps appetizer and it was more... More

Drove into Reno late Wednesday evening after 10hrs on the road HUNGRY & THIRSTY...so based on the proximity of Great Basin Brewery to my hotel & reviews here on TripAdvisors I gave it a try. It was easy to find with nice outdoor seating as well as plenty indoors. *Now Please NOTE* I am Thoroughly Irish and next door is... More

So, my wife and I came in for a quick beer on a Friday night. We were warming up for the Reno beer crawl the next day. I found a great beer real quick (it's a gift I have). My wife went through a million or so samples but the bar keep (John) would not stop until she found a... More

I've been here several times, I'm not gonna lie. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It's all good. Buy the $100 pack gift cards at Costco for $75.

This is a typical brewpub......they do have a bunch of handcrafted beers that cover the spectrum of tastes. I had a grilled chicken salad and my husband had the salmon and chips. Both were pretty good, not great, however. The chicken was a little dry, but the dressing was real good. The deep fried salmon filets were pretty good. They... More

Paito dinning is always very nice! Salmon special was really moist and topping were very fresh. our waitress seemed lost at times but pulled it off to get a better than average tip.

In my opinion the Sparks location is truer to the classical ideal of how a brewpub should look and feel. Makes sense since Great Basin Brewing started in Sparks in 1993. However, their expansion into Reno in 2010 looks as if they are going mainstream after the Applebee's crowd. I'm glad I visited both sites to see the difference in... More

Can't say enough good things about this place! You gotta try the home brew Icky beer and some beer battered fish and chips. Won't do good things for your cholesterol, but it'll make you smile for a while. Never had a bad meal here. Plus, on weekends, they often have live entertainment... either music or comedy. The beer list alone... More
