We loved going to The Oyster Bar for many years. The combination stew is my husband's favorite and continues to be made fresh and good quantity of seafood. My favorite is the lazy man's cioppino or one of there sandwiches have always been good. We enjoy seeing Mr. John Ascaugas, he is there at times and greeting the diners still... More

We eat here at least once per trip (from out of town) and have been for many years. The food has never disappointed us, the service is excellent, and the staff is always very friendly.

Just finished another fine lunch at the Oyster Bar. A dozen blue-point oysters and a crab cocktail. Northern Nevada's interface with the ocean is very well known for quality and dependability. Seafood is one-day fresh from the Bay Area/Seattle, two from the East Coast, New Zealand, Japan, etc. Famed for their pan roasts (crab, shrimp, oyster or combo) cooked in... More

Have been coming here since 1991. I can confirm that if you like Pan Roast, this is the best. The wait staff can be a little slow on occasion but this is not the norm. I have brought many people here over the years and have had nothing but thanks for introducing them to the Oyster Bar.

I usually don't give bad reviews, but I was very disappointed. We were seated at a table near the kitchen. We received our drinks and the waitress took our order and that was the last attention we received. We waited over 30 mins and did not get our meal nor did the waitress come to our table. We walked out.... More

Dinner was good, ordered one of the stews that was loaded with all the seafood you could imagine. Also tasted pretty fresh. I've given it 4/5 as the service was pretty slow.

Probably the best "Lazy Man's Cioppino" (no shells!) ever. Wonderful pan roasts with oysters, shrimp, or fish. Be sure to sit at the bar and watch them make these delicious dishes!
