Just finished another fine lunch at the Oyster Bar. A dozen blue-point oysters and a crab cocktail. Northern Nevada's interface with the ocean is very well known for quality and dependability. Seafood is one-day fresh from the Bay Area/Seattle, two from the East Coast, New Zealand, Japan, etc. Famed for their pan roasts (crab, shrimp, oyster or combo) cooked in... More

Have been coming here since 1991. I can confirm that if you like Pan Roast, this is the best. The wait staff can be a little slow on occasion but this is not the norm. I have brought many people here over the years and have had nothing but thanks for introducing them to the Oyster Bar.

I usually don't give bad reviews, but I was very disappointed. We were seated at a table near the kitchen. We received our drinks and the waitress took our order and that was the last attention we received. We waited over 30 mins and did not get our meal nor did the waitress come to our table. We walked out.... More

If you've never had an oyster pan roast you're missing out. You can always count on fresh fish, delicious pan roasts, great oysters…the list goes on.

Dinner was good, ordered one of the stews that was loaded with all the seafood you could imagine. Also tasted pretty fresh. I've given it 4/5 as the service was pretty slow.

Probably the best "Lazy Man's Cioppino" (no shells!) ever. Wonderful pan roasts with oysters, shrimp, or fish. Be sure to sit at the bar and watch them make these delicious dishes!

Ok...I was very excited when I saw that the hotel restaurant was an oyster bar. I wasn't disappointed! We had several meals there while we were on vacation. Everything was awesome!!

Place is nice staff friendly and helpful and don't rush you. My wife and I are big sea food fans but the menu just seemed a bit off... lots of stew type entrees as well as "bakes". Now being from New York perhaps it's a regional thing but was weird that there was limited basic seafood... broiled or fried so... More

This is always one of our favorite places to dine at the Nugget and we were not disappointed in spite of the change in ownership. The food is still excellent and the service, although slower than in years past, was very pleasant and accommodating.

Very busy night - Hot August Nights. We had the Bouillabaise and the LazyMan's Cioppino, plus 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell. Food was awesome, although it can be expensive. Loved the fresh-baked bread, loved the bouillabaise, loved oysters. The Cioppino was good, but after awhile it became a bit sweet at the back of the throat. I would... More
