Outstanding Alternative to Toucan Charlie's Buffet

On our second day at the Atlantis, following in enormous dinner at Toucan Charlie's last night, café alfresco's Italian fare fit the bill perfectly. Bruschetta and ravioli appetizers with drinks, followed by gelato made for a satisfying, relaxing dinner.

If you are a fan of Italian food this is your place, if not there is still plenty of options for you including salads, soups and the bread and for dessert the gellato. But as good as the food is the service is even better. Friendly, attentive without being a bothersome.

Had the grilled salmon with whole wheat Penne pasta. It was very good. They had rolls with it. Friend ordered spaghetti and meatballs, it was okay. They are popular for their Pizzas.

Enjoyed the chicken piccata. Very tasty. Also like that they have a sampler on the menu which allows you to pick a half order pasta or personal pan pizza with a side salad or soup. My husband and I never like the same type of pizza so this works out great. They have raised there prices recently but still not... More

In Reno for business staying at the Atlantis. Decided to do a simple meal within the resort, and rather than going the Buffet route - wanted a sit down meal. To my surprise, the food was excellent, espeically for being located in the middle of the casino. The environment was acceptable for what it is (being in the middle of... More

I went here for dinner. I had their ministrone soup and pasta special. Their pasta I had was their seafood pasta and was very good. Since it was their special, it was a smaller size than their main pasta dishes. However I was quite full. I had ice tea with it. Service was pleasant.

We have eaten here many times. The salads are excellent. Our favorites are the Italian Cobb and the Southwest. The servings are very large, so we often split them or take them home for seconds. The soups are very good. This is our go to place when we want something good but are not going out for anything special. The... More

I had the salad/pasta sampler. It is a large amount of food and I was unable to eat all of it. Price is good and the service is excellent. The variety of menu items is sure to please anyone.

The soups at this restaurant are great! The creamy aparagus soup, yumm! They offer gelato in various different flavors. I enjoyed dessert very much! The "brick oven" pizza, which we were excited to try, was bland and didn't have any flavor. The bread was thick and doughy and the bottom was burnt, but the top where the toppings were was... More

For several years my wife didn't want to try Cafe Alfresco, But once she did we eat there about 6 times a year. Great friendly service, leisurely pace, usually get seated pretty fast and a selection of traditional pasta and even different types of pizza. one of the new appetizers is a Wood Fired Garlic Shrimp dish and with the...
