Great Breakfast

If you're staying at the Peppermill just go up Virginia street for a great breakfast at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend it.

Black Bear Diner in Reno NV is a cozy restaurant with a home style menu. I ordered their taco salad and it was not just big, it was huge. It could have fed 3 people. The other 5 people in our group liked their meal so much we went back the next night. Good food. Great desserts.

We went with a friend who had never been to a black bear. So glad we went! Food was so good. Best patty melt.the service was great. The decor made the experience.

Hostess said restaurant closed at 9 when it is posted opened until 10. Not sure what the reason was, but I won't be back.

While on vacation because of favorable reviews we had dinner & it was very good with good service. We went back for desert 2 days later & told them we were so stuffed earlier that dessert was not possible. We ordered with 2 coffees. The wait person asked us to poke into the cobbler because she thought there might be... More

Bacon is thick cut, biscuits melt in your mouth and breakfast is always amazingly good. Have never done dinner at a Black Bear, but sure can attest to lunch and breakfast. Great friendly service too.

Limited menu but what is offered is fresh, tasty, well presented and HUGE servings. Soft drink refills. Diner is very clean. Toy bears & witty signs are a welcoming touch

I've eaten at 10 of these restaurants. But, Reno and Sparks have the best service and staff. The food is always good the Black Bear and I have never been disappointed at any that I have eaten at. But here Reno the food is just a step up from the others. WHile your here, if you want a great breakfast... More

Their meal portions are huge, their bleu cheese dressing is great on their salads and as a dip. The lighter fare sections are nice cause you can have a steak or something else and it is almost like getting a regular meal at another restaurant, only cheaper. Gotta save room for the desserts, they are HUGE also.
