When we travel to Reno for a planned event or just to have some fun, the Black Bear Diner is our choice spot for breakfast. The friendly staff are welcoming and attentive. The coffee is delicious and the menu is vast. This restaurant is clean and the prices are very reasonable. If you're in town, put the Black Bear Diner... More

The Black Bear Diner is hard to beat. We had breakfast there one day and lunch on another day and they were both great. The food is good and the portions are very large, so you shouldn't leave there hungry. The service was good and the waitress and waiter were very friendly and attentive.

Great atmosphere, good service. Old time country theme. Best corn beef hash breakfast in a long time.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Food came in large portions and was very good. They also allow you to split an order, will plate it separately and both plates have more than enough for 2. Good family atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

All of the Black Bear Diners I have eaten in have not disappointed me, and that includes the one in Reno. The food is good, especially the desserts, and the staff is friendly and efficient.

A coworker and I went to the Black Bear a Diner for dinner after a long day conventioning. We were seated immediately and our beverage order was taken. I had peach tea, quite good. For dinner I order the fish tacos. They were very good. My dinner came with re fried beans, salsa and cole slaw. I am a cole... More

We were heading into downtown Reno to get breakfast when we saw the Black Bear, the parking lot looked crowded so we took that as a good sign and pulled in. The atmosphere was cute and homey and everyone was friendly. Food was tasty and the service was great. Worth a stop!

Having driven all day, we just wanted something fast and simple. We gave Black Bear Diner a try. The menu is full of comfort food: I had a grilled cheese sandwich and my husband had chicken strips. Everything served was well-prepared and hot, and the food came quickly. The service was friendly. The desserts on display looked wonderful, but I... More

Friendly, hard working staff. Cute bear motif and theme with gigantic portions. It's a diner - so automatically the menu is gigantic - and they will add or omit items to any dish to make everyone happy. The food is more than adequate, but like I said - IT'S A DINER!
