Nice surprise

Saw this place driven by one day and decided to pop in. Kind of off the beaten path but well worth it. Real close to downtown. Service was good and food was rally tasty. Slow cooked and worth the wait. Will be back!

We were going to a different place and saw lines out the door so hit the cell phone to find someplace close. This came up and what a find. Cute little house, all homemade goods. Friendly staff and rich comforting breakfast. The omelet my son had was beautiful, and the eggs in the hole were sooo good. Came with FRESH... More

We wanted out of the Reno casino area and found Daughters. What a delight! Good home cooking, all fresh and beautifully displayed. Owner (mom) is very nice! We'll be back!

Spectacular food in a very comfortable setting. Old house with family pictures on the walls, and just a never ending eclectic décor complimented with an incredible food ethic. Fresh, deep, rich flavors are the norm in what I ate. I ordered eggs in the hole and the only problem was my not wanting to leave after the generous portions!

We were in town for our monthly shopping, and decided to try something different for lunch. We got on our smartphone to look up cafes downtown, and came across Daughters Café. Looked interesting, so we decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. Small menu, but excellent choices. Food was nicely prepped and presented. Great customer... More

A fantastic little cafe. The waitress was a wonderful young woman very knowledgeable of the menu and how things were prepared. the patio dining is beautiful and the food was just out of this world. if you come to Reno it is on the must try list. Definitely on our favorite places to eat.

Appearance: Old frame house with spiffy new red paint, eclectric art on the walls -- old photos and prints, fine old furniture, wardrobe, tables, chairs. Room for about 20 diners inside, many more outside on the patio -- which is leafy green and a block from the Truckee River. Service: Greeted immediately with water and menus and very friendly welome,... More

Not sure how to rate a place like this. The food is unique and usually pretty good. The service is brutal. Slow, terrible attention to detail. If staff will just chat w regulars and ignore the "others." Omelette and egg order took 45 minutes. Had to ask 3 times for water and coffee refills. Quality does not outweigh the experience.

Daughters Cafe is a little gem in Reno. So close to downtown but night and day difference. It is a small Victorian house, home. We have been there a few time, always wonderful. In good weather you can sit out in what was once the front yard, beautiful trees cover the area. In cold weather, enjoy eating inside of a... More

My daughter treated me to Mother's Day brunch here, and it was a delight! Although they lost our reservation, we were quickly seated anyway, as we were first in line when they opened at 9 am. Love the atmosphere in the cute little house with additional outdoor seating n the front yard. We had read other reviews that the food... More
