Great restaurant in a beautiful location overlooking the Truckee River. Everything we had was SO Good! From the wine, calamari, to the entrees best Italian food in Reno! Pretty affordable for a higher end restaurant. Most entrees were $25 and under with generous portions. Their wine list wasn't the biggest but it also was quite reasonably priced there were only... Almost like walking into New York for the scene in the Godfather! Really great home cooked food in the desolate gambling town of Reno. Here on tour with a recording artist with a HIT record so a good HOME STYLE meal once in a while is appreciated. Bolognese sauce was incredible. so was the Eggplant Parm, and The pasta with... More

We have always enjoyed Johnny's from its earliest days downtown to it's west Reno location. The food is wonderful...we love the Calamari and the Polenta is outstanding. All of the waiters and waiters at this restaurant are above average, friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. It's our place for special occasions, and when we want to be pampered.

A great Italian restuarant. Good service and food. Yes the decor is dated and maybe that is why the locals love this place.

Johnny's isn't an inexpensive restaurant but I always feel like I've gotten my money's worth since the food and atmosphere are both excellent. If you're looking for a good restaurant for a special occasion, this is the one.

Been to Johnny's no less than 15 times & never had a problem. Great Italian food and service, friendly staff. When we have guests from out of town and need a really good restaurant to go to, Johnny's is the place. Several of our neighbors have been there and like it as much as we do. Prices are very reasonable.

the decor is pleasantly old-fashioned in a good and attractive way, with vases and white tableclothes. Food was average. Osso Bucco was good, but the salmon was way undercooked. I wish servers would ask for the desired doneness of salmon. If you want a place with a little more upscale atmosphere, you might like this place.

Food tasted as if it came from a frozen dinner, no taste and watery sauce. Second time there and last, in our group we all felt the same, go elsewhere.
