The Cactus Creek SteakHouse had been recommended to my wife and I by many of our Reno friends so we thought we would give it a try. We signed up for the Nickel & Nickel wine paired dinner and were really disappointed. The roasted winter vegetables were terrible. Dry,, tasteless and poorly presented. The pan seared, oven finished squab was... More

We dine here with friends every Thanksgiving and also at other times. We did all get a lovely garden salad with dinner. I had lamb and had expected a rack of lamb but instead it was sliced lamb in a sauce with vegetables and other side dishes all stacked up. I thought the stacking of food was going out of... More

I ordered the duck breast thinking it would arrive as advertised...crispy with some nice sounding sides......cherry sauce being one. i have had duck with cherry sauce as a side at other restaurants and it was always served on the side. The duck came looking like a bowl of stew.....could not tell where the duck was and when i did find... More

I live in Reno and had heard good things from various people, but c'mon. It is inside the Bonanza Casino. How good could it be, really? The food was great! I love a good ribeye syeak, but the one I had here was the best I've ever had. Even better than the $64 wagyu steak I had once in Seattle!... More

Absolutely top notch wait staff, food was excellent. HOWEVER....the place has changed. Used to be you got a great garden salad with dinner, now a wedge of lettuce with a few sprouts on top, and a few hard cheese sticks. Used to be they served terrific Dutch Crunch rolls, now rolls just like anywhere else. Used to be they ended... More

If you have never had the experience of having true "prime" prime rib, go to Cactus Creek Prime Steakhouse. It is unlike any other prime rib I have ever had. Cooked to perfection, medium rare, a knife is unnecessary. No exaggeration. We used our forks just to test it out and it worked. As others have stated, few people would... More

This restaurant is only rated #70 since it is inside the Bonanza Casino, if it was inside the Eldorado it would be rated #1. The prime rib was by far the best that I have ever had and I tried prime rib 3 times at the Palms in Ceasars Palace Las Vegas. You can see the marbling though out. I... More

If you're visiting Reno this is one of the best places to get steak. It's reasonably priced, but it is a steakhouse so it's set more for adults and date nights. I'm not a fan of the fanciness, but we were taken as a gift and I did enjoy myself.

The location does not fit the quality of food and service. Located north of UNR in an local casino. Parking is sufficient. The casino does not deplict the ambiance you will be surrounded by. Once you walk in you are in a most unique place from what you just walked through. The service is professional with just enough personal touch... More

Hidden away in a generally locals casino is this steak house. Diners are promptly greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly seated. Decor is a south west/sante fe meets Dali.
