We were in Reno for a week, and we had credit on our Landry's Club card, so we figured why not, even though it seemed like it might be like an okay average family steak house. We ended up eating in the bar area for their early bird special. We ended up having a ball. The wait staff was attentive... More

Four of us had a really good lunch. Since it was Saturday they do not have the normal lunch menu options or pricing. But they do have lots of options to choose from and they were all flavorful, served hot and timely! Salads and soups were delicious and the warm cheese bread is awesome! Service was pretty good as well.... More

The first time we went to Claim Jumper was on a Sunday and it was Happy Hour all day because of football. We sat in the bar area at a nice table with lots of windows. My husband had Calamari and I had the fried zucchini; both were on the Happy Hour menu and very reasonable. The second time we... More

We sat at the bar on a quiet Friday afternoon. As usually happens in places where there isn't a dedicated bartender, the service was really lacking. He was waiting on tables and trying to tend bar at the same time. We sat with empty drinks for awhile and tried to send an incorrect order back but finally just ate it... More

Over rated and way over priced. Small portions. Service was OK, but if in Reno for Thanksgiving, stick to the casino buffets.

I haven't visited Claim Jumper in five years and my recent visit will probably be my last. We made reservations a week prior, and still got seated 15 minutes late. The hostess could probably uses a Hosting 101 class, she used profanity and kept interrupting guests when checking in. My husband and I had dinner last week, and split an... More

We tried the bone in (24 ounce) rib eye steak. It was 7 dollars more than the 16 ounce rib eye. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare with a good char. We also had the potato skins which were quite bad. They seemed to be really dry (tasted like they were reheated from better days). Might have been... More

Came to this Reno area restaurant with a party of 8 and was seated almost immediately. Our server was funny, friendly & attentive. Although the desserts were huge as we expected, the entrees seemed a bit smaller than I remember. Despite the smallness, they were delicious! Overall, we had a great family night out.

I had previously went to this restaurant 2 years ago and had a friend visiting Reno and I mentioned about the wonderful Chicken Pot Pie they had and the friend wanted to try it. I was not very hungry that day, had a big breakfast but my friend was starved, a perfect condition to be in to dine here. Upon... More
