I was hungry and looking for someplace easy for carryout. I noticed CaiE's Oriental Cafe in the same shopping complex as Smith's Groceries and suddenly decided that Chinese food sounded good. Upon entering, although the space set aside for dining in was clean and inviting, the "cafe" also clearly did a carryout business given the several plastic bags already lined... More

Nothing excitingly different than any other restaurant. Tastes fried. Had the lunch special tangerine beef. The pot stickers were good.

We regularly order from this restaurant for Chinese take-out, often calling in an order and grabbing it on the way home from work. The food is very good quality and if you decide to dine in, I recommend trying the Dim Sum since there are not many places in Reno that offer the same variety. The wait staff service during... More

I've eaten here many times in the past and have had good experiences, with the food and service. I now realize that what has made the experience good has been the presence of a young man I believe to be the owner's son. He's friendly, attentive and present at your table frequently. The food here is consistent, not great, but... More

This restaurant has more authentic Chinese food than the fast food type. Reno has few authentic Chinese restaurants and there others that are just as good. It is not like the Chinese restaurants in Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley or Irvine, CA which have great Chinese food and great dim sum.

I have always liked the food here and the service from the waitress is always quick. That being said my recent visit will be my last. As I was eating, I kept hearing an odd noise. After a couple times I realized that it was the cook in the kitchen sucking snot down his throat then clearing the phlegm. I... More

Best Chinese food that you can get in South Reno. I like the quality of chicken they use, good pieces not a breaded mystery like at soem other places. They have a good variety on the menu and I havent ordered anythign I didn't like

Won Ton soup is one of my favorites. I can only comment on the orange chicken we've had the last few times (take out and at the restaurant)-as it was old and seemed to have been re-fried to heat back up. It's off my list for awhile

Strip mall location, but very clean and spacious. They serve a limited dim sum menu for lunch and dinner, with traditional pot stickers, siu mai, hargow, pork buns, rangoon at good prices. Fresh and made to order. Noodles were good.

Your first impression of CaiE's is how clean and professional it looks and feels. From the bathrooms (my nine-year-old visits them all) to the tables and open kitchen, it just looks fresh. The same thing goes for the food. Portions always seem generous and well presented (we are always impressed with the tableware used). They taste good too. I usually... More
