A Delightful Experience

I found myself on a recent rainy day wanting a place with a soft atmosphere that reminded me of good times past and a great cup of something hot. I drove the rain drenched backstreets of midtown Reno, NV to The Isles, where I was transported back to the early 1900’s as I took my first step into... read more

A nice old world tea shop with nice service. Home made scones, clotted cream and lemon curd. However, the place needs a good cleaning.

We got the table in the Garden to ourselves and service was GREAT!!!! It was for High Tea that was as good as any High Tea I have had anywhere including in San Francisco. Lovely sandwiches and scones and goodies galore served with constantly refilled pots of tea!!!! A must if you like High Tea!!!!

I absolutely love this place! High Tea is spectacular. You can spend hours sitting in a living room atmosphere, drinking tea, eating scrumptous food, and reconnecting with your tea partner. Lovely! Also, it's where I go to resupply my Irish tea, bacon, lemon curd, clotted cream, and I can find Jammie Dodgers for my daughter. I've been here to celebrate... More

Haven't had good clotted cream since 2001. Exceptional! High tea - doesn't look like it would fill you up. We were stuffed when we were through. All items were outstanding. Lemon not one of my favorite flavors, but the lemon curd was awesome! Sandwiches and pastries made you want bigger pieces, but richness of all made the amounts served perfect.... More

My mom was visiting me in Reno the other weekend and I was trying to think of something nice to do. Going to a sports bar looking at vixen servers, drinking beer and eating burgers is so not a mom kind of thing to do. So I had heard about this Tea House, and not as in Chinese Tea House... More

We celebrated a sip and see here for a friend's new baby & had a fantastic time. The service was great & friendly. The food was amazing, the diverse selection of tea sandwiches were phenomenal, the cranberry & chocolate chip scones melted in your mouth & the dessert selections were decadent. I would highly recommend & will definitely go back.

This was our 4th visit to the Isles. It's always an enjoyable experience. We love the high tea, their scones are delicious , the sandwiches fun and the desserts wonderful. Tom the owner is very accommodating , which enhances the relaxing atmosphere. It only has a few tables, so I recommend calling for reservations.

Any chance I get, I come to the Isles! I love having High Tea but their regular menu is good Irish/British food as well! Someone complained of slow service but that's how the Irish are! You sit and chat for ages, not rush through a meal! I also love their selection of imported foods you can buy. They have Barry's... More

The Isles is a small slice of cultural heaven tucked away in a charming period cottage on a street that is quickly being re-claimed by those in the know.....if you need Irish or British treats, this is the place. Call ahead and place an order for Tom's amazing soda bread, you will be thrilled you did. We enjoy coming here... More
