We had been looking for an Italian restaurant and someone recommended this one (they raved about it). Again-most people in this town are looking for large portions at cheap prices. I found the food here to be really quite bad and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The veal in the veal parmesan was a deep-fried, over-cooked breaded hockey puck with... More

Enjoyed a casual evening dinner with my golf buddies after a game. The restaurant location is bit deceiving, as it is adjoined to extended stay hotel/apartment complex. The atmosphere is not flashy but very comfortable. The service was excellent with professional friendly people, in addition to the chef coming out to greet us! The Italian food was delicious and the... More

If you've eaten good Italian food, Hugo's won't make you happy. It's primarily for the local golfing crowd who don't seem to mind. But, otherwise rather mediocre food and service. Boring salad or soup, sticky thick sauces that overwhelm the food, and dry-ish chocolate cake for dessert. You don't leave hungry, but we won't be back.

We went with a large group, by the time we got our food, it was luke warm; salmon was over cooked; steak was undercooked.

After reading other reviews we expected a classy italian restaurant sitting on a hilltop offering creative and individually prepared dishes. What we got was an average restaurant. It is on a hill but there are no windows so you wouldn't know once you get inside. Salad was bland. Entrees seemed to have come out of the refrigerator and reheated. Taste... More

What a neat luxury . . . . just a few yards down the hall from our suite at the Highland Estates Resort is Hugo's, and it's warm and pleasant with nicely-set tables. Both establishments are up on a hill away from the casinos. Good variety of selections on this menu and portions are generous. Background music is just right... More

We took another couple out for dinner here upon their recommendation. We couldn't have been more pleased and will definitely return. The service was excellent...attentive, but not the least bit overbearing. Dinner starts with a tomato bisque. I generally do not care for this type of soup, but the flavor was very good. The salad that followed was pretty basic... More

Three of us ate at Hugo's out first night in Mesquite. The soup, salad, baked potato and vegtables were great but all three of our steaks were terrible. Two had the ribeyes and one had the fillet. None were cooked as ordered and the ribeyes had so much grisel on them, they could not be eaten. As a rule, none... More

We have discovered great Mediterranean and Italian food at Hugo's. The style is elegant, very pleasant, and the service people have been trained well. They really seem to enjoy their opportunity to serve you and give you a good experience. We dined here 4 or 5 times over the past winter while 'snowbirding' near Mesquite. Living in an RV, we...
