Slow service, good food, quaint

Quiet, relaxing environment in the midst of a casino. Good food & service. You can make reservations online and Terrry the host is always prompt and welcoming.

Recently we dined in Summerlin ( the well-to-do) area of Las Vegas west/northwest of town. This high income neighborhood features top-end eateries, malls, homes and of course a brand name hospital for those who can afford them. One of the better establishments by consensus word of mouth is the Carmel Room located within the local Rampart Casino. For years I... More

This was a lovely atmosphere and delicious food at a cost far less than comparable steak restaurants in Vegas. We will definitely be going again.

The food was good, served in an upscale, very pricey setting. The waitstaff is formally clad, French-style trained. The food was good but not great. It's hard to be an incredible meat restaurant, not too hard to be a good one. Everyone mostly had meat, steaks, filet mignons, and roast beef, mostly rare or medium rare, and everyone loved their... After years of reading about this place, we were really looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. There are superior steakhouse restaurants in Las Vegas for better value. Pros:Well appointed room/good bread basket/wilted spinach salad is excellent Cons: Onion Soup was very salty, we weren't even done with the soup when the spinach... More

This is a world class steakhouse, that really aims to please. The service is fantastic, our waiter Andre is world class. He really knows his stuff and is a Las Vegas Relic! The steaks are topnotch, don't miss the warm spinach salad, also their lobster is luscious. A great, romantic dining experience, highly recommend!

Excellent service, food and atmosphere in his gem of a restaurant. We were there for my mothers 75th birthday, seated in the gorgeous library room. The shrimp cocktail is fabulous. My mom and husband had the filet and I had the veal chop, all excellently prepared. Remember to order the truffle Mac & Cheese and the dessert soufflé ........ Really... More

We earned comps there by playing in the Rampart Casino. The room is small, but on our first visit, the delightful maitre'd was able to seat us. Our waiter was very old-school and helpful. We shared a delicious rib-eye steak, a bowl of fabulous onion soup and a souffle for dessert - each was excellent and beautifully served. We liked... More

The prices were WAYYYYY up there but the service and quality were acceptable for that price range unlike Flemings right down the street which disappointed. Best for romantic dinner based on ambience. For family, go to buffet or the less pricey restaurants.
