Very good Italian flare

The food is very good and service can also be unless they are over-packed! Very consistent from one trip to another.

From the moment we walked in until we left our server was the best. Very attentive but not over whelming. We had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and they were very mouth watering. I had the lasagna, which is the best I have had. Great food great place can't wait to go back.

We were in Vegas for several days and dined at the Grotto on four different times. Would highly recommend happy hour and the $8 pizza. We also had dinner and lunch there. The service was always very attentive and friendly. Will be back

Good Italian in the Golden Nugget, downtown on Fremont Street. The atmosphere is very pretty and reinforces the Italian cuisine. We had a large group and they were accommodating in giving us separate checks. To start, my husband and I split their house salad. It was plenty big enough for two. I had eggplant parmesan. It was good but slightly... More

Having never stayed down on Fremont, we were quite surprised with the great restaurants that are located in the Golden Nugget. My favourite turned out to be Grotto. We had great service and wonderful food. It is one of my favourite restaurants in Vegas for sure!

Our large group went here for dinner one evening. We were told about 1/2 hour-45 minute wait. Over an hour later, we finally were seated. However, they only set up a table for 8, (there were 10 of us), so there was some confusion. Once seated however, the service picked up. The servers were great, they kept the bread and... More

This is an Italian restaurant in the Golden Nugget. The food was delicious, the homemade bread OMG. We went twice while there. Nothing we didn`t like.

We finally ventured down to Fremont St. during our second trip to Vegas. With the help of Trip Advisor we decided on The Grotto at the Golden Nugget for dinner. As far as ambiance/decor, it's a little dated and worn, but we knew it wasn't going to be like a higher end restaurant on the strip. Service was okay. Food... More

My family had dinner here as part of my parents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration. The staff was incredibly accommodating, going so far as to drive my mother's electric scooter out of the way after she'd been seated. The server was exceptionally knowledgeable regarding the food selections and was also very affable. Each couple decided to split one main course each,... More

We love Italian food! The staff at the Grotto were wonderful, very friendly and attentive. And, the food WAS amazing, but the quantity that we got for the price was a little steep. There were 3 of us, but we ordered 2 entrees and shared. Good thing we ordered a couple of appetizers too, or we would have went hungry.... More
