Where it is COOL!

Great place to get away from the busy, HOT strip! There are trails to hike or places to just have a nice quite lunch that are near. The Lodge is rustic and very nice. Highly recommend during summer...and try it in the winter when there is snow.

The restaurant is on top of the hill, about 45 minutes from Las Vegas and about 20 degrees cooler. You can eat outside on the patio as we did; and brought our little 4-legged boy to dine with us. They accommodate pets and have a special menu for them. It is a nice getaway; the food is good and portions... More

We escaped the 108 degree heat of Vegas and drove to Mt, Charleston at the end of one of our vacation days. Easy drive. Beautifully cooler. We drove by this lodge on the way out, turned around and decided to check it out. We saw people sitting on an outside deck that overlooked the canyon. We had eaten dinner already,... More

The restaurant at the lodge is a favorite spot offering lunch specials and pricier steak, chicken, and seafood dinners. There is also also a cozy pub style bar. It is usually packed with day-trippers and it is difficult to park close to the lodge. The terrace surrounding the restaurant has many hummingbirds feeders and a fabulous views to the canyon.... On this particular day we sat on the patio. had I known that they allowed dogs i would have sat inside. However the chopped salad and wine we ordered was very good and the views amazing. I would recommend that they advise when there are dogs on the patio prior to seating

We took a ride to have lunch at the Lodge. Temp was 90 in Vegas and low 70"s at the Lodge. Seating is available both indoors or on a covered patio. Service is a little slow so you can enjoy both the view and fresh mountain air. Food comes in large portions. The fish and chips is outstanding. we will... More

My husband and I stopped here before we hiked Mary Jane Falls at Mt Charleston. The service was very fast and the breakfast was just what we needed. I ordered oatmeal and it was cooked perfectly, and my husband had a typical breakfast with eggs, bacon and homefries and thought it was great as well! The girl at reception gave... More

Yeah, we'd had a good hike up trail canyon. Even though the temperature was in the 50's a beer sounded good. We sat out on the patio with a great view of the canyon and surrounding peaks. My wife and I ordered the fish n chips. We wondered if that was a mistake. To order fish in Nevada and at... More

Met several friends here for lunch. We had no reservations but that was not a problem the dining room is quite large and it was mid-week. All had sandwiches and each was quite satisfying. Perhaps a little higher end price for what we ate but you are paying for the view and there is no competition up here. We sat... More

We stopped into the restaurant for lunch. Good food and service and really good Bananas Foster. If you go to Mt. Charleston, pass by "The Resort at Mt. Charleston", which is about a mile or two before you get to the "Mt. Charleston Lodge". The other place has a bar with bad service so make sure you pass it by... More
