We were looking for a small, quick meal prior to the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil show and stumbled upon Japonais. I had the added requirement of needing something gluten free. I had salmon avocado roll and my husband had the shrimp tempura appetizer. Both were excellent. We sat at the bar near the habachi station, and watched the chef... More

We had the platter to share and the sashimi and rolls was fresh and the service was excellent! If you stay at the Mirage, this place is a must.

Awesome food. We had alot of sushi and several different kinds of robata. Sushi (rolls and sashimi) were excellent. Ordered more sushi and sea bass robata after the first round was eaten in minutes. Our drinks took a little while to arrive, but were very good. Service was just ok, but the food was very good.

We had an amazing meal here before watching Love at the Mirage. The waiter (Wilfre) was fab, he made lots of recommendations and knew loads about the menu, we ordered some things he mentioned and they were the best bits! Would recommend 'The Rock' starter it is delicious! Great food, service and cocktails and although not the cheapest it was... More

We went after some starters for the big sushi plate (150$ for 4-5 person). Wow - simply great. What a wonderful experience. The service was very nice and the restaurant has a really good Sauvignon Blanc :-). We were excited!

In town on business and visited with several couples. The sushi is good, but nothing really unique or striking. Most had sushi and appetizers although I had the duck. This was very good and a healthy portion. Others at our table had Tuna, which I was told was also very good. The service is very good as well. Atmosphere is... More

My husband and I went to Japonais for dinner before seeing LOVE at the Mirage. It was a very romantic place with dim lighting. For a Thursday night it was not crowded at all. I think there was only 3 other tables filled. We requested a table away from the casino which is a very good idea. Our waitress, Koko... More

Fresh sushi and a number of interesting Japanese food items. Loved the warm towel presented at the start of the meal for your hands. Our server was fantastic and very helpful with making recommendations on the menu. The dessert sampler was to die for. The atmosphere was nice in dim lighting to make your dining experience a little more intimate.

Go for the adventure. The food is very good, interesting and unique. You will have to engage your server or you will not get the maximum benefit. Like few other places, this place is one where you have to rely on the server's expertise to figure out what to order. You order tapas style so, don't be in a hurry.... More
