In town on business and visited with several couples. The sushi is good, but nothing really unique or striking. Most had sushi and appetizers although I had the duck. This was very good and a healthy portion. Others at our table had Tuna, which I was told was also very good. The service is very good as well. Atmosphere is... More

My husband and I went to Japonais for dinner before seeing LOVE at the Mirage. It was a very romantic place with dim lighting. For a Thursday night it was not crowded at all. I think there was only 3 other tables filled. We requested a table away from the casino which is a very good idea. Our waitress, Koko... More

Fresh sushi and a number of interesting Japanese food items. Loved the warm towel presented at the start of the meal for your hands. Our server was fantastic and very helpful with making recommendations on the menu. The dessert sampler was to die for. The atmosphere was nice in dim lighting to make your dining experience a little more intimate.

Go for the adventure. The food is very good, interesting and unique. You will have to engage your server or you will not get the maximum benefit. Like few other places, this place is one where you have to rely on the server's expertise to figure out what to order. You order tapas style so, don't be in a hurry.... More

Assuming you have the opportunity, choose to dine as far away from the casino floor as possible. This dimly lit establishment offers delectable sushi and a number of other Japanese food items. We paired our meals with beer, including a Japanese IPA that one rarely finds in the United States. The food was top notch, and the service exceptional--one of... More

The food was decent and the selection was ok. Compared to the barrage of outrageous sushi places in Vegas, I would not cite this as one I was I was rushing to get back to.

My friends and I really enjoyed our meal and experience here. We ordered the rock and liked it so much that we ordered another one! The sharing was so much fun and the restaurant has a super cool vibe. We loved the calamari and the sushi rolls.

Went to Japonais only because the Brazilian Samba was closed. I am pleased that it was because my tuna steak was fantastic. The service was very good and there was a real atmosphere.

We chose Japonais after wandering around the Mirage before seeing Terry Fator trying to find a restaurant we wanted to eat at. We decided we were craving sushi. The atmosphere is very pretty. Dimly lit, nice furnishings with a large wall waterfall in the back. The service is really good. I wish I could remember our server's name but we... More

If you love sushi, you will love Japonais. The fish is fresh and there is plenty to choose from. We like sitting up at the bar and eating, rather than at a table.
