Pricey, but we good quality

We went to Japonais for a quick dinner before attending the Cirque du Soleil show at the Mirage and overall we were not disappointed by the choice. Quality of the food is very good although some of the itmes we ordered were definitely overpriced, even for Las Vegas (8$ for a single nigiri, when... read more

We made reservations at our hotel's Japanese restaurant for our friend's birthday. We made the reservations through the Concierge. 24 hours after we made the reservation, and 3 hours before dinner, we received a voicemail from the restaurant telling us that the dining room was unavailable and we could only sit in the lounge. This was not welcome news as... More

I had the Cobb salad and it was big. The chicken was plentiful and juicy, cut into small cubes, the bacon was crispy, and there was a lot of it. There were heirloom cherry tomatoes, a halved hard-boiled egg, and avocado, all on a bed of greens dressed in yummy dressing. The place is kind of country. Tables have the... More

We decided to spontaneously try something new, when we viewed the menu and saw they had shishito peppers (a personal fave) we decided to give it a try. The hostess was very friendly, which as we all know, can be very hit or miss in Las Vegas. We were seated immediately in a very comfortable booth near the front of... More

there are two "must haves" at this restaurant: The Rock (thinly sliced marinated new York strip - cooked on a hot rock), and the Chilean Sea Bass (miso soy marinated with shishito pepper) which was to DIE FOR! I could eat that over and over again! My roll (bakuchi roll) was good - but nothing special. I had to douse... More

I've eaten here before and the food is excellent. The restaurant is pretty and very elegant. I had a Japanese Sangria drink (peach, with sake) which was wonderful. The only thing that I would like to see improved is more information on the menu. There are so many choices, and for those of us who don't eat Japanese cuisine a... More

Came in on a Saturday night and ate in the Lounge. Mostly sushi and a few hot apps. The service was friendly and attentive. The food wasn't very notable. Not bad, just...eh. The menu is very limited, which is usually a sign of quality but in this case it just meant fewer choices. A highlight was the crab cakes, which... More

We went here as a family on a night out in Vegas. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted. The waiter even asked if we were attending a show so he knew how quickly to serve us. That was very nice. We got a table of sushi and sashimi as well as the Calamari appetizer and hot rock steak. They were... More

I enjoy an appetizer and drink i the late evening at the Japonais. It has a soft and pleasant atmosphere that provides a contrast to the many sports bars and dancing venues.

Food was good. Above average. Priced reasonably., Wait staff was very good- was able to answer any questions we had regarding what sushi-apps we were thinking of having. Good wine selection as well.
