Interesting Lounge.

We visited the Griffin because of the interesting reviews on this site. When we went in side there was only one other person. In the room there is a bar long one wall and tables along the other. In the middle there is 2 wood burners with small tables and sitting. The ceiling has brick arches... read more

Bar setting is nice.big fireplace which creates nice atmosphere . It's out back that it got a bit weird. A very good band was playing but the lead singer/guitarist was doing her set topless. It was part of her act but I thought they were so good musically they didn't need this in their act. Ok to pop in but... More

Pure class. Excellent drinks and service. Good value. Lovely atmosphere. By far better than anything on the Strip and is a sign of the downtown revival.

It's dark and the interior is like a cool old Victorian-era mansion meets castle. Good rock and roll jukebox and the happy hour (just from 5-6) is very cheap. But whenever you're there, the bartenders are very friendly and they pour the deepest drinks around. If you're lucky, there might be a little band in the back, starting at ten,... More

This is a great place to go in and relax. The fireplace was going the night we went in after visiting the Downtown Cocktail Lounge. Stayed for a very long time. Comfortable sofas, great bartender! All in all I will be going back next time I'm in LV.

I've been to The Griffin quite a few times and each time is a different (awesome) experience. I especially like going on a mid-week afternoon when it's less crowded and I can get a spot by one of the fireplaces. I'm trying to work my way through their amazing selection of beers, a task I fear I will never complete... More

Wasn't as good as many of the reviews I had read before visiting. It is funky and has minimal lighting, but if you are in the area then the Commonwealth is a better bar.

Tucked all the way down towards the East end of Fremont Street is the Griffin. It's very smoky, I cannot imagine how they manage to still smoke in there, but it's a fact. It's also extremely noisy: loud, Barbarian music that is deafening. Now that you know the Cons, here are the Pros: excellent, and I mean excellent selection of... More

Good drinking bar for those who like good drinking bars. Dark, more dark and darker still, its interior is either straight from the 1970s - I described in as "the sort of bar one could see in the show 'Charlie's Angels' during the Farrah Fawcett era" - or constructed to look like such. Either way, it's a huff of smokey... More

I'm not sure why there's a restaurant rating option for this place, I have no idea if they have a kitchen or not. What I do know is, it is one of the coolest bars anywhere. The decor is totally dungeon, but not in a scary way. It's fantastic how they have preserved this place as huge hotels were constructed... More
