Nearly Perfect

In town for business I came to Rao's because they had Osso Bucco on the menu. I also opted for the roasted beet salad. The salad was well prepared, but slightly over dressed. The osso bucco was a bittersweet experience. The veal shank was amazing! The marrow was divine. Sadly the risotto was... read more

We ate here July 19th it was our first time there, the food was excellent, the service first class, our waiter Howie was fantastic, he treated us like royalty, It's hard to describe how wonderful this place is. I had the lasagna which was the best I ever had, my wife had the spaghetti and she loved it, at the... More

Be very careful when you go to a restaurant and they have tons of autographed pictures of people on the walls, most of them dead. Do not know how they can serve a veal chop , ordered medium(pink) and got burned swimming in a pool of liquid ( do not know what it was ) and a side of cherry... More

Rao is outstanding! I am 100% Italian and my mother was a superb cook. Rao is ALMOST as good as my sainted Mom. Dishes we loved were seafood salad, veal parmigiana, the Meatball side (2 per serving which were enormous and delicious and worth the price), peas prosciutto taglioline, and best of all was the Osso Bucco! The bread was... More

Rao's serves some of the best Italian food I ever had in a restaurant. Don't eat too much of the delicious bread and very fine Extra Virgin Olive Oil as the portions are a good size and could be shared. The Rigatoni Filetto Di Pomodoro was delicious and robust without an overpowering garlic taste and the Veal Milanese topped with... More

Great place for an intimate dinner for two or a family gathering! I recommend sharing a few different entrees as they are large enough for family style dining. The Penne Vodka was outrageously good!! the prices are a bit spendy but the great food and good service are worth it!

Food, service, staff, atmosphere all first class. Plentiful portions - so much so that waiter will advise you if you are ordering "too much food" and suggest items(s) you may choose to share. Come hungry - go home very satisfied!

Really good food, exceptional service, old world feel. Went with a group of 10 (5 couples) we all loved it, pretty standard Italian food menu, nothing exotic, but all very good, fresh.

I was reluctant to go to Raos based on some of the negative reviews. Boy, I'm glad I gave it a go. Delicious food with amazing service. Kudos to Matt, our waiter, who was attentive and great at providing suggestions. The Lemon Chicken was so lemony good and the Shrimp Scampi was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend and would... More

This was the first time I visited this restaurant. I was not disappointed. The meatball appetizer was a good as advertised. The house salad was great, as was the Seafood mix linguini. Wait staff and atmosphere was awesome and quaint for our party of 10. I would recommend this spot looking for a great Italian night out!
