Breakfast Large Enough for a Big Bear!!!

We were in Vegas for the weekend and 5 of us went to the Black Bear Diner for Breakfast. The people we were with had been there before and raved about the dinners as well as some friends up in Oregon. All I can say is it's a very homey and family oriented place with lots of comfort food. looked this up online. I was trying to find somewhere different that was reasonable and good. the food was ok, nothing special. If you get one of the little pies for dessert, just know there is no bottom crust in the pie! just a top and fruit filling inside! LOL

I had lunch there and ordered a turkey club, it came with a side. I chose a salad. The bacon ranch dressing was great. The food was good, service was efficient. They have booth and table seating. The patronage is more an older crowd. They did have amazing looking mini pies in the front glass case as you come in... More

I was in Vegas and not interested in high end dining, I used Trip Advisor to find the Black Bear Diner. Located off the strip, a car or taxi would be needed to get there. Was told about 80% of the customers are local. This is a California chain with about 50 stores. The menu is large with breakfast all day.... More

Met 5 client's here for breakfast on a Tuesday early am. The restaurant is located on a corner and has their own private parking. I heart the decor inside which had a mountain cabin feel to it - cozy and quaint. We were seated in a quiet corner which was perfect for a business meeting. After receiving our coffee and... More

I'm not a big breakfast lover, but I do love animals and this place is crawling with bears... mostly black ones! There's bear paws on the plates, the napkins, around the ceiling - I seriously love to go just for the atmosphere (plus they have Dr Pepper!) Their portions are more than generous, and I've never had a bad meal.... More

We discovered Black Bear in northern CA and we like the atmosphere and menu so much that we now seek them out whole traveling in the west. Great food, reasonable prices and wonderful service. Robert was very attentive and was very pleasant to visit with. Every Black Bear restaurant has been a great visit and this one was no exception.

All the food is homemade and the service was excellent and quick. We had the chicken pot pie and it was wonderful. The Pastrami sandwich was also good. Don't leave without trying thier homemade Berry Cobbler. Delicious!
