A couple of months ago while on vacation in the Bay Area I ate at the Black Bear Diner and was pleasantly surprised, so when I learned that there was one in my own city I couldn't wait to go and I was once again happy with the experience. In a city where restaurants have to complete with all of... More

This is a small diner by Smiths grocery on W Trop just down from our time share. I got the Denver omelet and the wife got pancakes and fresh fuit. Service was good, but food was just OK. Pancakes are thick and fluffy with sweet cream, which we felt over powered the pancake. Unfortunately the fruit was a melon mix... More

Treated like family the minute you enter the door. We stopped in on a Friday, no wait seated in a back booth. a Chorizo scramble & eggs over with corned beef hash were ordered. Both were prepared perfectly. Just a great place to eat.

The service was great. This was my second time visiting the diner. If I come back to Vegas I will definitely come back. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. The staff loves what they do and it shows. Thanks!!!

We are always looking for local places to eat especially as an escape from the ever present buffets. We read an article in the Wall St Journal where Rick Moonan (a Top Chef Master & Top Chef Judge) said this is where he has breakfast. It's about 6 miles from the strip. The choices are many, the pancakes divine, bacon... More

We've been to a Black Bear in Utah so we knew we should be getting great food. And we did! The ladies ordered meatloaf and the guys fried chicken and pork cutlets. All four were great. Super gravy on the mashed potatoes and meatloaf. Cinnamon apples with the pork was as good as it gets. I would highly recommend this... More

On entering this diner we were very impressed, you would imagine you were in a small town diner in the middle of nowhere not las vegas. Staff were cortious and very friendly, service was very quick and food arrived promptly, good choice on the menu and prices reasonable, I ordered a seniors meal as I find normal portions too big,... Good breakfast with HUGE portions. Sweet cream pancakes are almost as big as the plate but really good and fluffy. Yummy biscuits, link sausage, ham, and red potatoes. We ate here before going on a strenuous mountain hike and the carb overload helped us get to the top. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Will return on next visit to Vegas.

My husband and I have been here twice recently and both times the food was delicious and right on time. I would suggest sitting at the bar because this place is always packed. Ok, so their pancakes are SO YummY OMGoodness!! You dont need syrup or anything on top and they are still bomb......OK. They serve large portions, which my... More

If you are tired of buffets and want a simple meal of good food at very reasonable prices, come here. It is well worth the 10 minute drive. I had the Mexican scramble and it was an over abundance of good food...spicy, fresh and delicious. My companion had the Griz which is enough to feed a family of 4...sweet cream... More
