We love Sam Woo in California. Unfortunately, food and service for this Las Vegas location are pretty bad. Everything is quite salty and service was quite lacking. You can find much better Chinese food and Chinese BBQ in other Las Vegas restaurants.

My background: Chinese chef for 4 years working in my families Chinese restaurants. Profession- Engineer The food is fine here. The price is relatively more expensive than other Chinese restaurants close by. Service is like most of the Chinese restaurants- bad to average. Sam Woo is all over California. Most of them are pretty good. This one in Vegas is... More

Attention all you Round- Eyes, (of which I am one) listen up. Sam Woo's is the most authentic, has the best selection, and has the most bounteous portions of any Chinese eatery outside of the Land of the Dragon. If you are looking for fortune cookies, and being catered to American style-- look somewhere else. However, if you want a... More

I do agree with most of the reviews here in that it's not the most hygienic and service isn't all that great. One thing I must say though is they have the best salted fish and duck fried rice. The salt & pepper squid and roast pork is quite good. In Vegas, I would always go to this restaurant for... More

I love sam woo, but not this one. After a long night in vegas, my wife and I went to get buk choy and roast duck. But the waiter gave us a glass of water. After a long night of drinking I was thirtsty so I drank down the water like no tomorrow. When I got to the middle. I... More

We ordered two beef stew rice noodle soup. They knew they had ran out of beef stew, but instead of telling us the truth, they came up with two bowls of noodle soup with only fatty ugly type of beef stew, essentially no real meat at all.

I was not impressed with this place. Supposedly they have awards they have won displayed at the entrance, but we found it to be overpriced and food was mediocre. Ordered the wonton beef noodle soup that cost $8. It was nothing special and grossly overpriced. FYI, they do not accept credit cards.

This place was so bad. I ordered take out for my family, and the food was so expensive, almost $50 for 3 small plates of food that didn't even taste good. I also saw the cooks put chicken on a plate of rice and microwave it instead of cooking it freshly like you're supposed to. So actually, I wouldn't be... More

My husband is Chinese and he has been going to Sam Woos since he was little. It is the best authentic Chinese food in America. The BBQ pork is wonderful! Everyone we send here becomes life long fans! Their Americanized dishes are even really good! I recommend the sweet and sour pork! Yummy
