Always been one of my favorite spots for breakfast and a little morning keno. After all these years has not changed.

For a hotel "cafe", Carson Street Cafe is reasonably priced. The issue here is consistency of product. It just wasn't as good as it has been.
We waited 30 minutes before we even got coffee or had any attention from any staff. Once our order was taken, we were informed it would up to 45 minutes to be served. Inexcusable for breakfast. The wait was certainly not worth it. Food was very average and very expensive. Will not return.
We stayed the Nugget for 3 nights and ate here twice. Breakfast on Saturday morning took just a while but it is busy at that time. The food was outstanding. We also had a 3 AM prime rib sandwich which was also quick and delicious. I would absolutely recommend this cafe if you are in the Fremont area.
Great food with big portion anytime of the day. Priced very reasonable. Only drawback would be the limited menu later in the evening.

The Carson Street Cafe inside Golden Nugget always has very good food and decent prices. The menu selection is extensive (chinese, american, etc...). The food portions are big and the service is quick. The restaurant isn't fancy but is a great place to go for lunch or breakfast.
had breakfast there on our first morning. I had the classic breakfast which was 2 egs hash browns choice of meat,I had the ham slice. and it was very good. my wife had the french toast and said it was very good as well.
Very good food - if you don't want a fancy restraurant, just relaxed and fast - this is a real finder. Our group loved this - it was a good last minute meal and we were lucky to find seating for 6.
We ate quite often here, during our stay (14th April to 25th) at the Nugget. Never a problem being seated, but always had to wait a long time for meals. Lots of minor problems like missing cutlery and condiments, but otherwise quite satisfactory.
