Skip the "strip" if you want excellent "non-touristy" dining. Dinner (or lunch) at Mastrioni's is outstanding! We had a lovely lunch yesterday. My husband had seared halibut in a flavorable Mediterranean style sauce with fresh tomatoes and sun-dried tomatoes. The halibut was succulent and not overcooked. ($22 at lunch) I had a fantastic Veal Marsala with capellini. ($16) The sauce... More

My fiancé and I were looking for a place to have diner with friends after a quick Vegas wedding (with Elvis of course, but that's another story). Prices on the strip are ridiculous, plus many of the reviews of the food weren't great either. So we looked around and found this family restaurant, with really good Italian food. My fiancé... More

My wife and I went to Mastrioni's last Friday for the first time with a friend. It is not that close to our home, but is close to his, so we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised; it was not as large as it appears because of the use of mirrors, but has a fair amount... More

Off the strip, but EVERY dish in our party of 8 was amazing! A lttile out of the way. Awesome Chianti. Make sure to ask your server about the specials. You will need reservations on the weekend.

Great find in Summerlin...appears to be popular with the locals. All three entries ordered where great. I ordered their special ossobuco and was extremely pleased with the presentation, taste and tenderness. It's a relatively small cafe, where the chef is also the proprietor...how could one go wrong. Also the wait staff were great. The rib steak smothered in garlic was... More

Went here as guests of friends who live in the area and frequent this restaurant. Located in a small strip mall on the outskirts of town, this was a full house which meant even though we had reservations it still required a wait. But the wait was worth it, the Caprese was out of this world, great Calamari and all... More

Located in the Summerlin area of the valley, we went by the other evening for drinks and dinner. It's in a small strip mall. Reservations accepted. 2 rooms for dining and the bar and it's area for drinks or food. Rather dark. Minimal décor. We had a couple drinks before dinner and then went to our table. The wait staff... Nice ambience, just a little noisy. The food was not well prepared. My Alaskan salmon was served overcooked and as soft as Atlantic salmon. My husband's halibut was very undercooked, almost raw. He should have sent it back but didn't. Service was good, better than last time.

I visited Mastrioni's on a trip to Las Vegas with friends. The food was sensational! For lunch the crab cakes were delicious! My friend said she could eat the eggplant parm everyday for the rest of her life!!!! I have gone back 4 times every time I visit vegas! The waitstaff is always super friendly! The owner/chef is a sweetheart... More
