New restaurant, good Dim Sum, special Lobster and noodle $15 is a good deal

This place changed hand a few Times, now it is called Jade seafood restaurant. Most of the previous waiting staffs were gone. I loved their wonton soap, nut they don't have it in the menu anymore. I was told the chef was gone. This is a dim sum place during lunch time. They have the... read more

We have eaten at Cathay House many times over the years. The food is always excellent. The prices fair, and the service workmanlike. Frankly, I'm not surprised that they had problems, because they are open so many hours and every day. But the problems will be solved, and we will be back. I just hope they don't have to raise... We used TripAdvisor to find this Dim Sum restaurant in Las Vegas. It averaged a 3.8/5 for a rating. We thought, how bad could it be? It's Dim Sum. How do you mess that up!?! The Dim Sum selection was very standard. Dumplings, Sui Mai, Rice Noodles, congee, all the basics. The flavors were not exceptional, in fact, just enough... More

Not as good as Vancouver dim sum, but very good for Vegas. Almost entirely locals, so that tells a tale. Feels family owned and operated. If you're on the strip you need a car to get there, but well worth the trip if you're craving dim sum.

This is an interesting restaurant. The waitresses push heavy carts around with various dishes and they sort of stop by everyone's table and then you choose what you want. I was visiting with several native Chinese speakers and they knew what to order and knew the various dishes and what was in them. I think without them I would have... More

The food was quite good, even teetoring on great, but the place looked dirty and was a real turnoff. Did not get to try their dim sum though the prices were very attractive at $2.49 per dish regardless of size (S, M or L). Will return to try dim sum some day when i revisit Las Vegas. The chicken porridge,... More

Very good dimsum and can be very crowded on weekends around late morning and lunch time. Always full of Chinese who know what good dimsum is supposed to taste like. Service is fast and reliable. Best choice in chinatown for dimsum.

Cathay House was once the best Chinese restaurant in town with amazing Strip views. Sadly, their view was soon blocked with another building. We arrived a little after 4pm for an early dinner. Note to self – arrive after 5pm as they didn’t seem ready for early diners. The bathrooms needed attention and someone went in to care for them... More
