This is an interesting restaurant. The waitresses push heavy carts around with various dishes and they sort of stop by everyone's table and then you choose what you want. I was visiting with several native Chinese speakers and they knew what to order and knew the various dishes and what was in them. I think without them I would have... More

The food was quite good, even teetoring on great, but the place looked dirty and was a real turnoff. Did not get to try their dim sum though the prices were very attractive at $2.49 per dish regardless of size (S, M or L). Will return to try dim sum some day when i revisit Las Vegas. The chicken porridge,... More

Very good dimsum and can be very crowded on weekends around late morning and lunch time. Always full of Chinese who know what good dimsum is supposed to taste like. Service is fast and reliable. Best choice in chinatown for dimsum.

Cathay House was once the best Chinese restaurant in town with amazing Strip views. Sadly, their view was soon blocked with another building. We arrived a little after 4pm for an early dinner. Note to self – arrive after 5pm as they didn’t seem ready for early diners. The bathrooms needed attention and someone went in to care for them... More

Cathay House Cafe is a bit off the Vegas strip but well worth the effort to get there. It is most always crowded and full of energy. The food is excellent, best Dim Sum I every had and the service is delightful. We make it a priority to make it to the Cathay House every time we fly to Vegas.... More

It was our second day in Vegas and we were looking for a good dim sum for lunch. We read some reviews that this a top choice for dim sum, and assumed their standard should be close to the LA area's restaurants. However, we are very disappointed. I think the dim sum in New Jersey even better than this one.... More

Pros: My family and I love Cathay House’s dinner more than all other L.A. area Chinese restaurants that we have been to ...Enough Said. We come to Cathay House whenever we are in Vegas for its variety and quality. If you ask the waiters, they would suggest some great dishes that are not listing on the menu. Cons: • This... More

The restaurant was heaving and it is clearly a popular place with the locals. The trolleys had the usual selection, all well prepared, with the salt and pepper prawns being a particular favorite. It is a buzzing place and a fun alternative to the hotel breakfasts.
