Best Steak in Vegas, this actually is!

The Golden Steer has been there open since 1958 and has that old 60's and 70's Vegas feel. Red leather booths, waiters in tuxedos and huge steaks. We enjoyed the steaks and added a lobster tail and were thrilled with the whole meal. It is simple food, but extremely well done. I believe that a... read more

Restaurant has been open since 1958. One of the 1st steak houses in Vegas.Shrimp cocktail was the best.Orders a Rib Eye with the bone-in. 24 ounces.. Steak was cooked properly, but the steak was like really thin, and didn't quite have the flovor of a thick steak.

When in Las Vegas, if you want to avoid the modern glitzy atmosphere and seek back to the genuine masculine elegance found in the Sinatra Era, you can find some of it here. This is a family owned restaurant with white table cloths, dark suited waiters, who are professional. The kitchen makes fantastic steaks, however we couldnt help notizing the... More

After many years visiting Las Vegas I finally tried the Golden Steer and wish I had not waited so long. The atmosphere is 'unique' and takes you back in time. Staff are excellent and knowledgeable but the highlight for me was the quality of the meal. Far better than a similar steak meal a few days before at a well... More

Coming from a ( non GMO)corn fed cattle family back in Nebraska I thought I knew great steaks. They've always been hard to beat. Well, I found a gem tucked away in a nostalgic dark backlit place that could be easily missed if you weren't local or part of Elvis' entourage. The Golden Steer is a amazing non pretentious place... I was told before I got to Las Vegas that I had to try the Golden Steer Steak House, which has been in business since 1958. The décor reflected the time frame of the late 1950's but still well done & well kept. The tuxedo dressed waiters & wait staff indicated that we were in for a treat & the... More

This place reminds me of the Rat Pack. I feel like Dean Martin and crew going to come in at any time. the ambiance inside far out matches the decor on the outside. It's what you thought Las Vegas was in the sixties. The food is good and the service is even better.

My husband and I dined here last night. We were promptly seated at our reservation time. Service was excellent. The steak was delicious and in general, quantities plentiful. My only complaint would be that I ordered the filet and crab legs and the crab was a bit over cooked. I would've liked to have had a bit more crab as... More

Awesome experience! From Tom out waiter to the table side Ceasars. This place feels like Old Vegas, classy, delicious, romantic. You almost expect a celebrity or mobster to walk in. My ribeye perfect, but my wife's Oscar Filet was like butter! If you want a steak in Vegas skip the strip head to the Golden Steer.

Special thanks to Rika for the exceptional customer service (restaurant's unique history and story telling) as well as confirming the mafia/gangster private dining room. Tom did a great job servicing our party as well. Several first time guests accompanied us and were blown away by the meal, service and quality of every aspect of dinner. A++++
