Hussong's Cantina & Taqueria opened in 1892 in Ensenada Mexico. Hussong's invented the Margarita in 1941 by bartender Don Carlos Orozco. The name Hussong's has attached itself to chili cook-offs, tee-shirts, bumper stickers, beer, wine and tequila. Authentic Mexican food

With a name like Hussong's, who would think that this was very good, authentic Mexican food? The waiter was very helpful. Food was excellent and Margaritas were great! Food was delivered to the table piping hot. Reasonably priced.

I go here for margaritas! I visit Mandalay Bay/Luxor each year and spend 5 days walking up and down the Mandalay Place. You can't miss this place with that routine and at least twice I end up here for margaritas. I have tried some meals here and found the food reasonable, however as ai said this is the place for... I try to go here every time I'm on the Vegas strip. They've got good food that's reasonably priced for Las Vegas; and the bartenders are really cool. Truly easy to get a buzz on here as they've got some really great drinks. I especially love their 40 ounce refillable souvenir glass of Dos Equis-lord knows how many refills I've... More

My memory may not be completely accurate, as there's more than 20 years between going to the original in Ensenada and trying this one in Las Vegas, but the food was certainly as good if not exactly the same. The band had a great sense of humour and were very talented. The only thing missing was tequila shooters being poured... More

Excellent Margarita - as it should be as it is THE HOME OF THE ORIGINAL MARGARITA in Ensenada, Mexico. Guacamole good. Food very good, too Great place to grab a drink & a bit to eat.

I had a great time here today thanks to Amber behind the bar. She was very personable & polite. I had the floutas & a few margaritas. They were pretty tasty. I would highly recommend coming by here, it's a good time with great people & excellent food.

It is a great place to eat with reasonable prices. I had the carnitas and would go back for sure I would even recommend them to my best friend. The Carnitas were not your standard traditional Carnitas but it was a great flavor twist on a real Mexican standard!

In town for conference, the restaurant got busy as soon as we sat down, drinks took forever, waiter got sat a large table after us and we didn't see him again. Manager got our drinks that were sitting on the bar....he then realized he had to come back and take our order since our server still hadn't. He was rude,... More

Great Mexican food and wide variety of Margaritas. We shared the Romance Margarita. Great value. El Mariachi band was fun and entertaining.
