Best Shrimp Cocktail in Las Vegas

When the Golden Gate remodeled a few years ago, the locals favorite snack bar was dismantled and along with the best Shrimp cocktail in LV. No fear, DuPar's stepped in to serve the hotel and brought back the old favorite. It's not 50¢ like the old days, but it is still just as good! Plus you don't... read more

You must experience the pancakes at DuPars. They are legendary. Duh…they don’t serve them with butter because...they are grilled in it. But be warned, they are also huge so, if you're ordering a combo with eggs, I suggest the smallest stack, which I think is 2 pancakes. Even then, you will come out of there so stuffed.

Was staying on strip and went downtown to have breakfast because of the Best Pancakes in Las Vegas claim. It just might be true and service was excellent. You won't leave there hungry and atmosphere more like a diner back home than what has unfortunately become the norm on the strip.

I was a little skeptical because it was so tucked out of the way and the atmosphere was a bit nostalgic but the waitress was so nice and make us feel comfortable and then the Shrimp Cocktail - OMG so good and so much for the price. Then my country fried steak and mashed potatoes. I haven't eaten like this... More

So, you're a bit tipsy from the whiskey and you haven't eaten in a while and you've spent a bit more than expected on hipster shirts with vintage Vegas casino logos imprinted on them - or whatever it is you kids do nowadays - and nothing except the best slice of egg custard pie is going to satiate your desires.... The world's best shrimp cocktail and the world's best cinnamon rolls all in one place. I've been to Fremont Street many times and never knew this place existed. It is a must do from now on.

I used to work next to Farmer's Market in Los Angeles and spent many a lunch hour at the Du-Par's there.. We made the trip to Fremont Street to check out this location and it did not disappoint! Fluffy, rich pancakes and yummy French Toast-- excellent food! It was also interesting to read the history of the Golden Gate Casino,... More

My dad and I were in Vegas for a few days for the Las Vegas Film Festival, and ate here everyday -- sometimes for both breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend "The Californian" for lunch or dinner, as it's absolutely delicious and their bread is tremendous. For breakfast, they have baked goods galore (that are to die for), a good...
