Best Shrimp Cocktail in Las Vegas

When the Golden Gate remodeled a few years ago, the locals favorite snack bar was dismantled and along with the best Shrimp cocktail in LV. No fear, DuPar's stepped in to serve the hotel and brought back the old favorite. It's not 50¢ like the old days, but it is still just as good! Plus you don't... read more

Dont judge a book by its cover! Everything was delicious. I had the pancakes. My boyfriend had the meatloaf.... We had a chocolate malt... And finished with warm blueberry pie and ice cream. Yummy yummy yummy!

The world's best shrimp cocktail and the world's best cinnamon rolls all in one place. I've been to Fremont Street many times and never knew this place existed. It is a must do from now on.

I used to work next to Farmer's Market in Los Angeles and spent many a lunch hour at the Du-Par's there.. We made the trip to Fremont Street to check out this location and it did not disappoint! Fluffy, rich pancakes and yummy French Toast-- excellent food! It was also interesting to read the history of the Golden Gate Casino,... More

My dad and I were in Vegas for a few days for the Las Vegas Film Festival, and ate here everyday -- sometimes for both breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend "The Californian" for lunch or dinner, as it's absolutely delicious and their bread is tremendous. For breakfast, they have baked goods galore (that are to die for), a good... My husband and I have been to Vegas numerous times. We always stay at the Nugget and eat at Du-par's multiple times while we are there. I don't know what it is about this place, but it feels like home. The service is flawless. The food is really good. We have eaten multiple menu items and everything is awesome and... More

I was very excited to spot a Du-pars in downtown Vegas as I knew it from growing up in L.A.and remembered the delicious pies and great food. I had their famous pancakes along with an egg and bacon, perfectly crisp. Their coffee is Farmer's Brothers which I love. On their dinner menu I spotted liver and onions which is hard... More

This was our first restaurant stop on a first visit to Vegas - we had a late night meal here and our server Debbie was fantastic/cheerful and delivered great service. The food was fantastic. We each had half of french dip and ruben and of course the shrimp cocktail. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.

I have stayed in downtown Las Vegas many times since 2000. The diner at the Golden Gate was always one of my favorites. I ate there many times. The food was always good and the prices were reasonable. I will never go there again. Why? Bad Service! I repeat, bad service! My wife and went there for breakfast as we... More

Knowing how quickly things change here in Las Vegas every once in a while it's great to visit and enjoy an old stand bye. At a younger age way back in the last century one always heard about those Las Vegas shrimp cocktails - for a buck or $.99. Guess what? If you go to Du-Par's at the west end... More
