That special occasion!

At first you wouldn't believe that a restaurant like this is in the South Point hotel. The hotel is very casual and this restaurant is certainly not. If you want a singular experience at living the life of the rich and famous, then go for Michael s. Incredible 5 star service and dining. The... read more

I read the first review about this being the best restaurant in LV and thought I had already reviewed them. It is an incredible throwback to the 1920's with a somewhat limited menu, but that is a good thing for once. The last thing you need is more choices than what they offer. I won't give away any of the... More

This is my favorite restaurant in the entire US. It is the first place we go, on our first night in Vegas. Hands down. Every single time. It was wonderful to see Jose, Vinnie and the always famous, Russel. They, and their entire team, set Michael's apart from any other hotel in Vegas, or most of the US. The level... More

When Michael's moved from the back of Barbary Coast on the Strip down to Southpoint Casino, I was worried that things would change. Luckily, not a thing changed. It is still a thing of beauty, like a butterfly trapped in amber. The food is very, very good. The veal saltimbocca was probably the best I've ever had. The potatoes au... More

This is by far the best steak I have ever had in my life...And, I am a carnivore!!! The staff was incredibly professional. When we first walked in, several customers stared at us bringing our girls in there(we were in town for a gymnastics competition). I immediately felt uneasy that perhaps children weren't allowed. Well, the staff treated our little... More

This was our third visit to this very classy restaurant. This time we were with a larger family group of 9 and we were seated in the private dining room. When 2 members were unable to make it literally at the last minute (after we had been seated and started on the preliminary complimentary nibbles and wines), we asked if... More

I have to be honest we chose this restaurant based upon some great Tripadvisor reviews, and when we got in the cab and kept driving and driving getting on the highway I began to doubt our choice. When we pulled up at a Hotel/Casino that had a riding stable right outside I again continued to doubt our choice. When we... More

Truth be told, I'm a foodie of the extreme. I like to cook, more than I like to eat. I'm the guy who goes to a place expecting mediocre, and generally I get what I expect. I hate paying good money for 'great food' only to walk out KNOWING I could do better. I hate that! Michael's Gourmet Room BLEW... More

From the beginning, this was a big joke. It started with what my mother would call a "relish tray" with pickles, chopped vegetables, etc and some dry toast and flatbread. Next came a salad that was marginal. Entrees were under seasoned and unremarkable. I was in a business party of four, had recently had surgery and asked only for some... More

A Las Vegas Institution! The best food in vegas hands down. From the shrimp cocktail to the bone in filet this place is second to none. Dont let the location inside of the south pointe fool you, this place is it!
