Well that is a harsh title. Well, Border Grill earned it did through bad service and unbalanced flavors. On a quite Monday night, I sat to have a nice solo meal and as it turns out, through the incompetence of the wait staff and the overzealousness of the chef, I had a wasted meal. I simple recommend against going here.... More

And really big portions. Neither I nor my girlfriend could finish our plates, and certainly didn't have room for desert. Still, everything was excellently cooked and nicely served, so absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. It's inside the Mandalay, near the shark aquarium... along with about a hundred other places !

I ate dinner here this afternoon with 4 kids, after visiting the Shark Reef Aquarium. The restaurant is in a fairly isolated, quiet part of Mandalay Bay, near convention/meeting rooms. Much to my surprise, when I asked the hostess if we could take a look at the menu, she also offered me a separate kids menu with more than half... More

We decided to try the new Border Grill in the Forum Shops. We made a fairly last minute reservation and were pleased to see they were able to accommodate us. When we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty! We were seated right away, and from the first greeting at the door our service was spot on! Very friendly and attentive.... More

The bar and patio was full but we were seated very quickly. Our waiter suggested some really nice alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks. I went with the blackberry lemonade and my sister had a margarita and we were both happy with our choices. I had the carne asada tacos and they were the best I ever had-the meat was extremely flavorful and tender... More

The restaurant was really difficult to find. The signs were not very clear; we had to ask several casino employees to get there. Once we were there, the waitress made up for the trouble we had getting there by bringing our margaritas pronto and they were potent! Food was good, nothing exceptional.

Ask for outdoor seating if at all possible, and weather permitting. The view can often be great, and it's fun to watch the airport. We've been several times now, tried different things on the menu, and always get great food and efficient service.

I've yet to have a bad experience at Border Grill. Every dish I've ordered (grilled fish tacos, Yucatan pork) has not only been WAY more than I could eat at one sitting - but delicious. The Yucatan pork, especially, was fragrant and served with the perfect sides of pickled red onion and guacamole. I'm looking forward to my next visit... More

This run of the mill Mexican aspires to be more than it can deliver on. Shrimp was sub-fresh. Service friendly but disjointed. Acceptable choice if you are already at the mandaly bay, but no reason to come here otherwise.

Weekend brunch here was amazing! Best deal for a meal. $35 for all you can eat, plus an extra $10 for bottomless mimosas. Carmie, our server, was so pleasant and made great recommendations!
