Welcome to Border Grill, Las Vegas' destination restaurant overlooking the Lazy River just off Mandalay Beach, where Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, Bravo's "Top Chef Masters" and Food Network's "Too Hot Tamales," want nothing more than to spice up your day. With two floors of patio dining, and a beautiful outdoor bar, it's the perfect setting for sipping margaritas and savoring the bold flavors of Mexico while enjoying views of the beach and pool. Border Grill Las Vegas is located in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. There's so much to do at Mandalay Bay. The Shark Reef, right next door to the restaurant, features sharks of all kinds, as well as a slew of exotic, predatory marine life. Stop by for fish tacos after and have the last word in the food chain.

Good Food

The food here was amazing the service left a lot to be desired though. The service was not friendly and it was impossible to get refills on drinks.

If you have not been to their weekend brunch, you need to plan and go! Small plates that you order two to three at a time. Check the menu out on line. Some of my favorites are the shrimp and grits, brisket sliders...amazing, empanadas, and churro tots. My husbands favorites are the oyster taco, skirt steak tacos, breakfast frys with... More

I see a lot of iffy reviews here regarding dinner, which I can't speak to, but I must say the brunch is an absolute treat! Tons of different small plates, which is their "signature" brunch. Everything we tried was wonderful. I can especially recommend the churro tots :) I want to go back to try more, it's overwheming! Not sure... More

Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger are two very good chefs. I've enjoyed watching them on tv on various shows and they have always impressed. Border Grill had very good food, our waiter was very nice, the drinks were enjoyable, the atmosphere was fun and playful...so what's my problem? Why couldn't I give this place 4 or 5 stars??... Yes you can sit outside and be poolside and yes the margaritas are ok. But the food isn't that great despite the famous chef advertised outside the door. I had the only vegi option for the taco's-avacado taco. This sounded a little unusual but it was really quite terrible. Slices of avacado rolled in sesame seeds and quinoa and baked... More

Not sure how you access it otherwise, but this is a very nice Mexican place tucked into the back of the Mandalay pool area. I wasn't aware of the Food Network connection, but apparently the owners have some sort of connection. Great chips and salsa, I kept going back to the spicy bin until it was gone. My girlfriend is... I was invited to this restaurant for a private event and arrived early with a colleague. We enjoyed the best - Handmade Margaritas at the bar. They were so good in fact that we went back a second time! BTW... the food was excellent too!

Do not go. Celebrity chefs failed to bring tasty food. The appetizer sampler was inedible. The manager brought an alternative that was OK but not great. The server said our choices weren't the best for our main course and recommended items that were twice as expensive and not great. The black beans were horrible, and chicken wrap some thing was... We had breakfast here and it was definitely WOW. The eggs benedict were on point, the potatoes were delicious and the breakfast burrito was to die for. The server was super friendly and awesome

Came here for lunch last week and it was great. Large portions but both food and drinks were great. Really liked the outside seating area :)
