Best View in Town

On our recent trip to South Lake Tahoe, Mrs. Sothoth and I found the area not replete with fine dining. 19 Kitchen-Bar makes and attempt and mostly succeeds. The place is located atop one of the casinos in Stateline. The views are incomparable and we had the best seat in the house. The menu here... read more

It doesn't get much better than to sit on the 19th floor, with an unobstructed view of Lake Tahoe and the sunset. Add to that the best steak of the trip--a bone in ribeye for me and a fresh Chilean sea bass on a bed of lobster risotto for my wife, and nirvana is within reach. The starter was the... More

They try too hard to be fancy and fail. We threw a little Wedding Reception Dinner for 20 people here and expected a lot more than we payed for. They made us a pre printed menu for the party. The header read "CONGRATULATIONON you Wedding" (It should have been Congratulations on your Wedding". If you are going to make something... More

While it's still light, enjoy the view of Lake Tahoe while the sun sets. The two tops are set right at the glass. Ask for one when you make reservation. The menu online is only offered on the weekend so if you dine during the week you will be offered a shortened menu. This surprised us and one reason for... More

So good, had to go back that week! This restaurant was the best we found at South Lake. The views at sunset, the terrific menu and great service made the experience well worth repeating for us during our one week stay at Harvey's Lake Tahoe Resort. Make sure to make reservations early. The sunset views are spectacular. We enjoyed those... More

The service was just fantastic! If Id recommend someone to take care of you for the night it'd be John and Austin. The food was delicious. We had an ahi tartar as an appetizer and I will not lie it was incredible not a big portion but definitely worth getting it! As for entrees were amazing. And desert was great... More

My previous visit to this restaurant was terrible (see Oct. 11, 2013 review). This time it wasn't terrible, but I would call it uninspired and not worth the time or money. Once again, if you are a single diner, I would suggest you try elsewhere, as you will not be very important to your server. I had no idea there... More

My husband and I went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived a few minutes before sunset, which was perfect timing. We got our food just as the sun was setting. The view from this place is incredible, since there is nothing in front of it. I can't eat gluten, and the chef was very helpful in changing my... More

My wife and I had our Anniversary dinner here this past Saturday. First of all it is a fabulous view at the top of Harveys. It was a beautiful day and the sun was going down as we enjoyed the view. The best table for two is #12 right at the front window. The staff was great, very attentive and... More

This place is a little pricey but the views are great and the food and service are also great. A lot better service than Friday Station
