The crab was spongy and salty, but it was worth the $30 a person. It's so delicious. The most amazing part was the Dessert buffet, EVERY FREAKING THING YOU CAN IMAGINE WAS THERE. Canolis, Italian wedding cookies, Lemon Meringue, etc. SO AMAZING.

Upon our arrival in Tahoe we wanted to have a substantial meal (travelling all day) and did not want to spend a large amount. We decided to try this rooftop buffet and were pleasantly surprised. The variety of the food was excellent-- meats and shrimp were bountiful (they even had osso buco) and the sides and salad options were generous... More

Our visit was disappointing. The food was ok but way overpriced. We paid $103 for three people and it was not worth that price. They do have a wide variety of food and desserts but I think that there are other buffets in Tahoe that offer just as much for less money. We will not go back there again!

I have been to many buffets in the past and usually find them to be either very good or horrible. This one was definitely not in the first category. First of all, there were 3 of us and it cost over $100. Paying that much I expected an awesome dinner. We were all pretty disappointed. The food was average and... More

Fresh and tasty dishes, lots of choices. Dessert bar is to die for, unfortunately not much of a dessert person. Text my daughter pic of elevator button (18th floor in red) and told her I ate for both of us. Asked me "dessert"? said only had banana foster with a little ice-cream. Text me back "disappointed" We all love 18th... More

The food was very good. They have both breakfast items as well as lunch items. There is also unlimited champagne. I highly recommend it. We would definitely eat there again.

I guess I've been spoiled by other buffets, especially the Harrah's Reno buffet. The Forest is not even in the same league. The food was generally OK, but the selection was 1/2 what was available in Reno. Service was friendly, but I had to wait over 30 minutes in line before entering. The good news was that my "Reno Local"... More

We have taken in the Forest Buffett for at least 30 years and we still find it to have the best selections of foods, best service, best views and fair prices. We paid $21.95 for each of us and it was worth it. Please try it if you haven't already!! We'll be back again.

The Forest Buffet at Harrah's used to be a really nice buffet. Elegant atmosphere and great food. It has changed! Atmosphere feels like Circus Circus buffet. Lots of kids running around, dining furniture looks very worn and the windows are dirty. (The view is one of the main attractions) The food is just average. It didn't even look appealing. The...
