Variety is Highpoint

The variety and choice here are it's highpoint. Typical of buffets, food is not exceptional but it is average to above average. Somewhat pricy. View from top floor is nice. Atmosphere is "busy" with lots of activity between tables and buffet line in the large dining area.

I think after some of the vegas buffets I've been to, I'm maybe a bit spoiled. The best thing about this buffet is the location - top floor of Harrah's with lovely Lake Tahoe view(ask for a window table and try to time you dinner when the sun it setting). We visited on Mexican night...so in addition to all the... More

It's not a high end Vegas buffet, but then what is? For about $20 bucks it's everything you'd want for dinner. Located way up on the 18th floor.

With this buffet, you can use your Harrah's Casino Rewards card and receive a discount. The selections are great featuring any kind of foods you can think of not to mention the dessert bar where I always start first!! We had a selection of prime rib, mashed potatoes with gravy, dinner rolls, many salads, shrimp, fruit, Asian foods, Italian dishes,... More

We hit the buffet on a Friday night - tons of seafood!!! Everything from chilled snow crab, fried calamari, steamed muscles and clams to fish tacos. Also served was the typical prime rib and the other buffet items. Desserts were exceptionally good - especially the crepe station!!! What really made the dinner great was the staff! Our waiter Dennis was... More

The view at this buffet is really beautiful, lake and forest views all around. The food is just average to poor. The desserts were really good though and the smaller portions were great so you could sample without wasting.

Maybe we arrived too late. I was expecting better I guess. The food selection was fantastic, but the taste was only so-so. The salads were great, pretty hard to screw up a salad, and the deserts were awesome. It was just the entrees that we had a problem with. My fried chicken was dry, the prime rib had no taste,... Yes, you stand in line to be seated but well worth the wait. Lavish buffet (dinner) with outstanding food. Great view as well since it's on top of Harrah's. Excellent service.

Great food and great prices! For a buffet, you can't get a better price. Especially in Tahoe. Forrest Buffet had just reopened after being closed for a remodel. There were so many choices, we had to try little bits of everything. The desserts were fantastic. They looked beautiful too!

OK, the price is a bit high for we middle class misers ($35), but it's well worth it. The food is consistently tasty, with varied offerings, including good American/Chinese, yummy meats (including prime rib), salads and vegetables that are really worth eating, interesting seafood dishes (featured on Fridays, when we visited), and an array of attractive and tasty desserts.
