Varied buffet with good prime rib and tasty accompaniments

OK, the price is a bit high for we middle class misers ($35), but it's well worth it. The food is consistently tasty, with varied offerings, including good American/Chinese, yummy meats (including prime rib), salads and vegetables that are really worth eating, interesting seafood dishes (featured... read more

Great food and great prices! For a buffet, you can't get a better price. Especially in Tahoe. Forrest Buffet had just reopened after being closed for a remodel. There were so many choices, we had to try little bits of everything. The desserts were fantastic. They looked beautiful too!

I should have gotten a clue when an employee on the 18th floor indicated that the buffet had temporarily been relocated to the second floor banquet room while the 18th floor location was being upgraded. I decided I would try it anyway. What a mistake. They still charged the usual rate, $24.95 but the selections were very limited. There was... More

The buffet is located at the top floor of the casino. Although there is no comparison to the Vegas styled buffets because the variety are not as much as we thought. But, our server (Roberto) provided excellent service.

We haven't eaten here in years. We were impressed with the value of the buffet for the cost and the high quality service. We had lots of choices and the dessert bar was better than most cruise ships that we have traveled on. Try and get there by 5 pm for dinner and ask for a table with a view... More

The buffet is a little expensive, however it falls in line with most Casino buffets. The selection was very good, the prime rib cooked and ready for choice desired. All the meats were well prepared. Dennis our server was very attentive and always seemed handy when needed. The view of the Tahoe valley is wonderful. No complaints at all, and... More

The prime rib was good and very tender cut with a fork tender. The mashed potatoes were also very good, but everything else was just a buffet mediocre at best.

We were in SLT for a concert at Harrahs and arrived early to find parking and grab a bite to eat. We have 3 strapping young men so we usually hit the buffet wherever we go to allow them the choice and amount of food they need. This was about $35 per person so pretttty pricey for us all. I... More

Went to SLT with family for a few days. First place that we visited to eat dinner. Good selection of food but the view is a plus. Especially that the mountains still have snow. They have desert that's sugar free! For one thing, that's good for those that have DM.

Amazing Seafood buffet! First time ever at this location and the view alone makes it worthwhile! Most times buffets like this are so so but with the amount of options and fresh food makes it differ from all the ones I've been too! The tahoe local card is definitely worth getting because you save about 10 bucks! Service is good... More
