Saw an article about him in the Chicago Tribune before we left for our trip, so sought out his bakery. It happened to be almost right across from the Hyatt in Incline City. Check out the direction signs in the parking lot as it is back around the group of buildings. Wonderful pastires, although the strudel is more like pie... More

Wonderful selection - the sour cherry strudel was so good. Ernie is a charmer with interesting story and old photos. We drove to Incline Village from Zephyr Cove to check out bakery and we were not disappointed!!

All kinds of bakery goods, candy, cookies, cakes all especially made and available-they produce for many restaurants, hotels, and gift shops. So is a great place to take the kids to see how its all done.

Surprised to find a European baker on vacation. We tried a number of items and were disappointed with the results. We took two bites of each and tossed the rest in the garbage. I can't recommend.

I don't get their often, but when I have been, Ernie has wonderful pastries and pies. I love homemade coconut cream pie!

If you like Austrian-Hungarian pastries this is the only one in the Lake Tahoe area. Ernie is originally from Hungary and he has made his delicious pastries in shops around the world. It's a very small coffee shop with seating outside. Try his Dobos Torta and various strudels (apple, poppy seed, cherry) they are great. Also he makes Hungarian Gulyas... More

Ernie's was once a great pastry shop with real European type pastries. But during our recent trip to Incline Village, his pastries were starting slip on the freshness side. Make sure you ask him when he made his product. He'll probably say two hours ago; but it might be two days. In any case, still pretty tasty.

When we had a brunch at Ernie's each person was able to get exactly what they wanted from eggs and bacon to cabbage roles! Each person was satisfied with the amount of food on their plates. Individual attention was given by the owners. It was not busy so we are not sure how the service is. Our was ok. Location... More
