A lovely place

This restaurant is so cozy and warm that you feel like you are having dinner at a friend's house. A friend that is a very good cook. The three of us all chose the prix fixe dinner which is a very good value and offered many choices within each category. Our server also helped us choose a good... read more

We've eaten at Le Bistro several times. A warm intimate atmosphere with fine food and wines. The menu changes quite a bit so what we enjoyed may not be there when you arrive. Le Bistro can hold its own against any 'big city' eatery. Go, you won't be disappointed

It is not often that I am completely overwhelmed by good food but wow! This place just absolutely astounded me. The food was incredible! I booked a table here for a birthday dinner and we were seated in the best table of the house. We had the 5 course pre-fixe menu and everything that came out was absolutely incredible. I... More

I loved the creative menu the presentation and the quality of the food was prepared with excellence. As a group of 5 adults, we found the restaurant to be a gem tucked away in Incline Village.

The chef of the Bistro is well-known in the Tahoe area because of his previous restaurant. So the Bistro has quite a cache on the North Shore. It is in the back of a strip mall across from the Hyatt. The place is pleasant enough. The food is very good but overpriced. The service was good also. It is typical... More

We got the 5 course tasting menu for $55. Each dish we chose was handmade, delicate and perfectly seasoned. My husband especially enjoyed the gnocchi in truffle sauce and I loved my crab and lobster cocktail. The monkfish was fresh and expertly prepared. Not sure about the wines we had paired for us at $45 ea. next time we will... More

We really wanted to like le bistro but the five course menu was very disappointing. The evening started well with the amuse bouche but then degenerated into some very average dishes.

We have followed chef/owner Jean-Pierre Doignon around the Lake for 25 years or so, initially at his acclaimed La Cheminee at Kings Beach. Le Bistro has been in its current tucked away location across from the Hyatt for many years. We dine here frequently. Truly amazing is that consistently, dinner is as wonderful and exciting as the the very first... More

Le Bistro is an Incline institution, a 5 course dinner at an authentic, French bistro, a romantic, intimate food fest, hard to come by. After a day of being a snow bunny this was a nice escape. Good food, atmosphere and the wallpaper is cool. Make a reservation to ensure your spot. Many little portions fill you up. Its off the beaten path and a little hard to find, but once you're there its a wonderful experience. Enjoy.
