Best restaurant in Lake Tahoe

My husband and I have been vacationing in Lake Tahoe for years. We pretty much know every good restaurant the Lake has to offer. While there are several really good restaurants, Le Bistro stands at the top. Chef Jean-Pierre Doignon was trained in Burgundy, France, at "Lameloise". He brings his... read more

Wonderful atmosphere and much like a country French restaurant, 5 course meal, fixed price, very nice and as typical of French cuisine, filling but not overfilling. And then there were BEARS. We looked up and there were three bears at the door. The waiter went to chase them away and one of them charged him. All of us were stunned... More

This is a little restaurant in a strip mall so you might not expect much. However, you would be wrong. The decor is cozy french countryside and the atmosphere matches it. The service is warm and friendly. Although you can order a la carte, they have a 5 course menu for $55 per person. I highly recommend that and it... More

Amazing restaurant. Quaint but top quality - service and food. The menu is not overwhelming with choices but what is offered is wonderful. Our meals were prepared to our expectations and the presentation is top notch. I have spent more, for dinners, and enjoyed them less, in the area. I highly recommend enjoying Le Bistro when in the Lake Tahoe... More

An amazingly creative menu and very well prepared with terrific service. They are at the deep end of the pool of French cuisine, and their Pomme Souffle is out of this world. This is a must try for any foodie! Le Bistro is very expensive, but worth it.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the world. Yes, they are pricey. And it is worth it. Awesome service, amazing food. Can't praise too highly.

This restaurant is so cozy and warm that you feel like you are having dinner at a friend's house. A friend that is a very good cook. The three of us all chose the prix fixe dinner which is a very good value and offered many choices within each category. Our server also helped us choose a good bottle of... More

We've eaten at Le Bistro several times. A warm intimate atmosphere with fine food and wines. The menu changes quite a bit so what we enjoyed may not be there when you arrive. Le Bistro can hold its own against any 'big city' eatery. Go, you won't be disappointed

It is not often that I am completely overwhelmed by good food but wow! This place just absolutely astounded me. The food was incredible! I booked a table here for a birthday dinner and we were seated in the best table of the house. We had the 5 course pre-fixe menu and everything that came out was absolutely incredible. I... More
